96 SR: Installing Escape Gear seat covers

For my Xmas present to myself this year, I purchased a full set of Escape Gear seat covers from Paul May of Equipt Expedition Outfitters. They were shipped to me directly from Escape Gear in South Africa and since they had them in stock, they arrived here in under 3 weeks.

Finally had some time today while it was still daylight to install them.

Installation was pretty straight forward and because they're custom fit for the Montero, the fit was exacting. Took under 10 minutes per seat.

Here are a couple of pics...

Notice the driver headrest is covered while the passenger seat head rest is not? The passenger headrest cover was simply too tight to put on, so I'm gonna have to contact Paul on Jan 2nd to see how I can get a replacement cover that fits properly.

Other than that one minor snafu, I really like them.

Next, I need to install the rear seat covers but I'm out of time for today so it will have to wait until the weekend...

Those look great! Have you tried soaking the headrest cover and then stretching it on?

Good suggestion, and no I haven't but I'll wait to hear the official word/suggestions from Paul at Equipt on how to best fit it so I don't inadvertently void any warranties.
