I have a v6 manual and a pillaged oil cooler off a 91. The FSM for the 89 doesn't say what that adds to the oil capacity requirement - the only mention is on 9-104. A pint? Got the cooler and then 2 hoses, 18" or so each. Thanks!

I removed the an aux oil cooler from a 89 LWB. It's installed in my 89 SWB. A pint seems to be too small. My oil cooler probably added closer to 3/4 to 1 quart of oil.

You will need to add a hangers to support the hoses where they pass thru the radiator support. The SWB trucks did not have the hangers. Somewhere, I used to have a template for the hanger. You will also want to use new banjo washers for both hoses.

Ha, I found my templates. See attached for rough templates for hangers.

Thanks! I added a bit more, maybe 1/2 a quart, to cover that volume without going too far over.
