Is anyone running 265/65/19 tyres on a D4. It’s listed in the manual as a suitable tyre but I was wondering if they rub or if any mods need to be done.

Yes. Fits great. No rubbing or any other issues. The full size spare also fits fully inflated under the car. No need for lift rods or suspension height adjustments.

Only downside is that there isn’t a lot of tire options.

255/65/19 is a 32 inch tire. Are you sure, you running it without any lifts on LR4 ? This is more like a new Defender size, that's available along with growing choices such as Duratracs etc...235/65/18 in the first row are 30 inch tire diameter which is correct. The other one looks like a Typo.

32” is largest you can go without rubbing or modification, and also still roll on the bump stops. I run 275/65-18. But you won’t be able to store a full size spare underneath. And you can use the donut either (30” vs 32”).

Aren’t you running 255/60/19?

Also should be some clarification of the question asked. The 255/65/19 is the size available on the new Defender. It is 32” in diameter and you’d need to run a bit of lift to clear it IMO. A 255/60/19 will fit at stock height. Frankly I’m not aware of anyone making a 265/65/19 size that you referenced in the title

A friend sold me his 285/60/18 which fits without mods. He’s gone back to 19” for a variety of reasons and both of us aren’t sure if that size will fit without mods. He was looking for someone with that size before buying a tyre that won’t fit!

My bad, yes that was a typo. I did mean the 255/65/19 as per the picture of the manual.

You kinda hit the nail on the head by accident. There is a 265/65/19 and its for the new defender :)

EDIT: THIS IS UNTRUE I MADE IT UP SOMEHOW :(

I'm only seeing the 255/65/19 now. Wow. Ok then.

I take it all back and we are all blind and making typos today :)

Toyo makes the open country AT3 in a 255/60/19" which I run on my Touareg tdi with a 2" lift. So far it's been a great tire!
