2021 Nissan Frontier

Highlander

The Strong, Silent Type
After the very long overdue Nissan is updating the Frontier.
It is an exiting news because a new player, with good old heritage, is coming to the town.
It will be based on the international model, Navara, but will have more American look and options. Probably very similar to the Titan, which is underrated but great truck.

"Nissan Mexico says the wraps are going to come off in a week from tomorrow, on November 4 "

I hope to see the new Frontier becoming widely utilized in the overland community, which unfortunately the Titan did quite make it.

I for one am excited. I had an 08 and now drive a 17... Outside of the color and number of doors; same dang truck.. While that is refreshing in some aspects. The truck is ancient by automotive standards. And I hope that Nissan brings the offroad goods to finally go toe to toe with toyota, ford, and chevy. Cant wait!

So will the Mexican truck being unveiled Nov 4th resemble the International model or the North American one?

I'm excited about this and I'm not a fan of the mid size trucks for price point.
Back in the days of the 2001-2011 Ranger the Frontier had it all over in power, and a better type of suspension AFAIC. Looked good, outside of the interior, but everything in that size and category had hard black plastic interiors.
Nissan has some good engines, and i am surprised they let it wither on the vine so long.
I think it's safe to say it will have more oomph than the Tacoma. And probably be cheaper.

I had a 2002. He was a great little truck. Emphasis on little. When we had our first son we couldn’t fit a car seat in the backseat. Really couldn’t put anybody in the backseat

fast forward to 2020. My neighbor just bought a 2019 frontier.

it’s the same truck still.

Wouldn’t mind having another one as a trail truck. I list after our first gen extended cab Toyota Tacoma 4x4, but Lordy are they ever expensive.

Does that mean it’s the Not Available version?

Well played sir...LOL. We dont always get it right do we? I am still excited about the release though as I think it does mean Nissan has a redesign planned for us here too at some point. The Fronty just cant be expected to still be competitive when so many of the other manufacturers are bringing much more capable trucks to market.
