Some interesting findings in the pics including

straight 6 Diesel in 21MY

Also looks like they have finally listened and significantly simplified their offering

From 10 to 5.? sec 0-100kph (0-60)

20s/18s

Another spotting in vegas

More proof 32's are standard.,same size was spotted in moab

I'll be looking to fit 34s on 18s if bigger tyres are needed.

Can also make out headlining, visors, looks to be hollow out in roof for headroom.

No removable top and/or doors? solid axles? manual trans? Needs to have at least a few of these things.

If it doesn't, its not a defender. MIGHT be a great vehicle, but it's just a ruggerized LR4 or discovery or whatever.

Air bag suspension? Get real. JLR can't even get the simple things right, no way that is gonna be reliable or cost conscious.

Re-hashing names is the lamest thing in the car industry.

Hmm see where ya comin from but, fact check time

Some of the best Ultra 4 trucks run IFS, so does bowler bulldog.

An electric ragtop has been spotted, a softop swb is tipped.

Trucks the world over use airbags day in day out.

JLR have a great reputation in latest gen of LR's with airbags, most in OZ are getting 200,000km before anything needs touching, at that time usually shocks.Modern LR in fact have reliable Air Susp systems these days.

Manual trans? From what i see most defender owners want to convert there manual to a chev 6l80 or 4l80 or Zf 4speed auto. Who knows maybe there could be a manual down the track but I doubt it, old tech like leaf spings.

Finally they drop the LR4 bonnet box on the road testers and reveal the huge series style hip line down the side, more series LR retro than a defender imo, series owners should be happy.

Looks to be same camo as we saw of the defender behind gate at HQ with the expedition roof rack.

Also back is very defender/series, with the addition of bulging wide wheel arches for stability/stance. Will become even more so once they drop the box camo around the rear lights etc, will it have retro rear windows next to doors, is that what they are hiding with the raised camo there?

Roof still has boxed camo, hiding shape, alpine window and roof rails.

Rear passenger window has a fake panel over it to match rear fake boxing camo. Will they have an opening for rear passengers? No large Cpillar on SWB?

It seems this SWB was no slouch as per the comments, guy was only loosing him at 220kph so 215kph? Autobahn Germany? Thats not retro.

At the moment with road tyres/wheels, no snorkel, alpine window, sliders, front bar etc and camo I admit to some it may look ordinary without imagination, cue any resident photoshop gurus.

Im hoping at launch events they do one with all the optional offroad gear and 18s with 32 inch muddies.

Curious what you guys think about price. If this really is supposed to help JLR’s financial situation they have to price it competitively so charging a premium for the defender badge doesn’t seem like smart move. Personally I think the D110 needs to be priced below the starting price of the Discovery to actually sell well. To me this doesn’t seem like a crazy proposition since the D110 will be a smaller vehicle with more utilitarian options rumored. I guess what I am hoping for is a D110 with diesel engine, low speed transfer case, and rear locker for 55k. Does that sound like a really unrealistic wish?

P.S. I am really loving the look of those prototypes! They look like the tusk defender, which always looked great imo.

It is not smaller. The dimensions shown earlier show that the 110 is the same width and a bit longer than a Disco 5. It will be basically the same price point.

Actually I think you are mistaken. The spec sheet showed 4758mm (187.4 inches) for the 110 and a disco 5 is 4970mm (195.7 inches).
