2018 Tepuifest Overland Expo and campout

If anyone is interested in an annual campout expo with great vendors and a ton of well built overlanding rigs then make sure you make it to this in 2019. It is held in an area in the Hollister Hills Ca. designated for offroading and has trails for all levels to have fun on. I think I paid $75 per adult and that included 2 nights of camping, catered breakfast and dinner, a mobile coffee shop, gift bag with some cool gear, and live bands at night. In the day there is a trail run and other activities. It was pretty neat. You got the opportunity to see different set ups and they even had a pretty impressive raffle with really nice overlanding gear.

I have not purchased a RTT but I have been looking at them for some time and really like the Tepui ones. Just want to see what will happen with them now that Thule has acquired the company.

I think I need a bigger truck!
I had such a positive experience at a similar event in BC. I think events like these are great for the community. You met new faces, learn new things and win stuff.

I think I remember your rig and you from year one of the BCOR? Or someone with a VERY similar setup. Yeah, these events are awesome and you get a great mix of people and experiences from hardcore overland travellers to weekend warriors like me! Worth the effort to attend a few.

It was a surprisingly friendly event with cool people and really unique rigs. All types of people from all walks of life just getting along under the umbrella of appreciation for the overlanding lifestyle. To be honest I was kind of humbled by this. It was kind of refreshing watching people from the country or the mountains hanging out with people from the city with no talk of political affiliations or other inflammatory issues that would typically segregate a crowd. Just cool people with cool rides having a good time. That being said if you do get the chance to make this event you wont regret it. Anyways safe travels guys. Hope to see you at this event in 2019

Tepui hands down is a great company and they stand behind their products. In the rtt market I feel there is no other option. I've had mine up for 3 seasons and so far no issues. Now I live in Northen Nevada and it stays up on the roof of my jeep year round through 100 degree temps to hardcore snowstorms. This product is bulletproof.

I actually attended this event before buying my first RTT. It was a great experience, with a bunch of chill people that were happy to talk about their rigs and tent experiences. Several people let me climb up in, and one of the Tepui guys walked me around and described all of the different models.

I’ve bought 3 tents since then, evolving as my needs have changed.

I believe the event is usually in October, and usually shows up on the site midsummer.
