It performed very well for us. We had planned to take it down to South America and didn't want to deal with the diesel issue, so we went gas.

what kind of mileage does this get? I am interested, though I have mostly been looking at diesels because of the fuel economy

Sorry I just saw this. It's hard for me to say because we towed a trailer a lot of the time. My best educated guess would be 10-12 mpg.

What kind of stair system does it have for exit and entry?

We have the Torklift Glowsteps. We also have the optional handrail.

The steps are great but after awhile we just used a step stool, which will also come with the rig.
