In the bed, on the passenger side (near the tailgate) I have a milk crate secured to a tie down.

Its packed and over flowing

I decided to spend $130 (used of course) and order a Swing Case tool box for the rear driver side of the bed

The added storage will be nice and having the ability to swing out the box towards the tailgate will be nice

Be careful not to overload them weight wise. Ran them for awhile on a tundra I had. They did ok keeping things dry. The brackets will bend if you put too much weight in them. You also run the risk of the plastic cracking.

THANKS!

The heavy objects will remain in the milk crate

Just looking for storage for the ratchet straps, tie downs, tow ropes, gloves, etc

They will be good for that, especially under a camper shell. Mine were just in the bed without a cover. I thought about getting one for my current truck, but haven’t fully committed to it. If it do, it will be for holding a recovery strap, and a few items like that.

I have been using a retro fitted swing out box for over a year now and I really like it.
I will check on the overloading it as I have a ton of crap in there including my 10 ton bottle jack.
mine was new in box but the guy got it for the wrong truck he had a Colorado and the box he ended up with was from a titan. I had to tweak it a bit but its in my sierra with no issues so far ?

The 3.5" Superlift lift kit arrived last night...……...I need to unpack everything and double check all the parts were included

Need to find some rear blocks...……...does anyone know if the factory 1-1/4" block is tapered?

Rear with 2.0” Blocks (Stacked on Stock Blocks):
Driver Rear: 39.875”…………………..1/8” taller than front
Passenger Rear: 39.125”……………..1/4” lower than front

Rear with 3.5” Blocks (Not Stacked – 2.25” rear lift):
Driver Rear: 40.125”…………………….3/8” taller than front
Passenger Rear: 40.375”………………..1” taller than front

Rear with 4” Block (Not Stack – 2-3/4” rear lift):
Driver Rear: 40.625”…………………….7/8” taller than front
Passenger Rear: 40.875”………………..1.5” taller than front

I am going to shop for some 3.5" tall blocks so I don't have to stack anything

Check out CST suspension. They have fabricated blocks for Chevrolet 1500s in various sizes.

They only sell blocks in 1" increments

Superlift's block is 2" tall and the factory block is 1-1/4" tall

I need a block that is 3.5" tall

The factory headlights and fog lights are decent on this truck, however there's always room for improvement

I am planning on a front LED light bar, to hide behind the grill area

I have the old bar off my F150 that I will attempt to use

This truck is a 2018 Silverado Z71, running factory 18" wheels with a 2.5" front / 2" rear lift block with 295/70R18 tires

View attachment 577260

295/70R18; 34.3 " x 11.60"

I am really wondering about this setup...………..looks like factory 18s

Wish I knew who the owner was to see if much (if any) he had to trim

Looks like some behind the grill LED bars interfer with grille shutters

Now, how do I know if my truck have these grille shutters?

Based on what I see, this feature started in 2017?
