Krytonite stuff also looks solid

Greaseable fittings all over

I would 100% recommend kryptonite. They make a quality product. If memory serves me correctly, I had over 20K on their control arms when I sold the truck.

Edit: These are the arms off of my 2010 2500. They were beefy for sure. The only weird thing is that they didn’t have a attachment point for the ABS wire. I zip tied it to the control arm which never was a issue.

Ok, well my entire plan of buying the UCAs and then the 2.5" front kit and the 2.5" rear block just went out the window

I helped to install a Superlift 3.5" kit on a friends 2015 Silverado High Country today...….impressed with the ease of install and the ride quality, even with his 20" setup

I was going to go with the 2.5" kit and then the 1.5" body lift later in the year. Why do two things twice and have both installs take 10 hours?

SO.........I just ordered the Superlift 3.5" kit, that comes with diff drop spacers and new UCAs

I just will buy the 2.5" tall rear blocks and use the rear shock extension brackets that I have

One kit and done...….plus it will save be money by not having to buy $500 UCAs

2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado & GMC Sierra 1500 - 2wd & 4wd

Factory 17x8.0 Wheel Offset = +24 mm - Back Space = 5.44" Inches

Factory 18x8.5 Wheel Offset = +24 mm - Back Space = 5.70" Inches

Factory 20x9.0 Wheel Offset = +27 mm - Back Space = 6.06" Inches

Factory 22x9.0 Wheel Offset = +24 mm - Back Space = 5.94" Inches

Lug Pattern = 6 x 139.7

So now that the lift kit purchase is done, I need to figure out a tire size to run

My current size: 265/65R18; 31.6" x 10.40"

Superlift says with their 3.5" lift, the following tires / wheels will fit:

285/65R18; 32.60" X 11.20"
285/55R18; 30.30" X 11.20"...…......not tall enough
305/65R18; 33.60" X 12.00"
305/55R18; 31.20" X 12.00"..........not tall enough

Others say these sizes will fit:
295/70R18; 34.3 " x 11.60"
285/65R18; 32.6" X 11.20"
275/70R18 seem way too small: 33.20" x 10.80"
285/75/18 seems like a tall tire that might rub: 34.8" x 11.2"
285/70R18 seems like a nice size: 33.70" x 11.20"...…….not at tall as the 285.75 and a tad taller than that 285/65

I need to add one or two smaller LED light bars to the inside of the cap

Any mounting ideas or where to put them?

How is a 285/65R18 considered possible at 32.6 tall, but a 275/70R18 considered way too small at 33.2, which is a half inch taller???

You're right...….I would like to try for something atleast 33" tall and atleast 11" wide but I don't think anything over 11.50" will clear?

I need to measure clearance today

Both are out!

Found lighting for inside the bed cap.....

I ended up buying small mini LED light pods for a motorcycle

Small and lightweight yet powerful.......self tapping screw in the mounting bracket to the aluminum window channel

They will be here next week

I ended up buying two sets of LED lights for inside the cap...……..since I wasn't sure which will be better

#1
6" long x 1.70" wide rectangular LED
9W each
Super White 6500K
Epistar LED
1800 lumen
6 LEDs
30 degree flood beam

#2
3" x 2-5/8" oval LED
10W each
6000K
1000 lumen
9 LEDs
Spot Fog beam

I will hopefully decide which works best for inside the cap and get them wired up and mounted this weekend

Reading through the Superlift 3.5" lift kit install instructions...……...

The kit comes with 2" tall rear blocks, that they want stacked and placed ontop of the stock factory 1-1/4" tall block.

I have always always always heard this is a BAD idea and the blocks may shift

Well I am not crunching numbers to see what size rear blocks to buy, so I don't have to stack blocks

Rear with 2.0” Blocks (Stacked on Stock Blocks):
Driver Rear: 39.875”…………………..1/8” taller than front
Passenger Rear: 39.125”……………..1/4” lower than front

Rear with 3.5” Blocks (Not Stacked – 2.25” rear lift):
Driver Rear: 40.125”…………………….3/8” taller than front
Passenger Rear: 40.375”………………..1” taller than front

Rear with 4” Block (Not Stack – 2-3/4” rear lift):
Driver Rear: 40.625”…………………….7/8” taller than front
Passenger Rear: 40.875”………………..1.5” taller than front

I am going to shop for some 3.5" tall blocks so I don't have to stack anything

That's some pretty tall blocks. Stacked blocks is the worst, so I'd take a 3.5" block all day long before I stacked.
3.5" will be ok for DD it you will likely see some axle wrap in deep snow or off road.
