2012 JKU no a/c

Anyone have advice on what to try next?

No power to the compressor clutch.

Fuses and relays test good every single on in the box was tested.

Pressure is good was just recharged computer controlled machine put in exactly 1.38lbs which is what is required. Leak test was good.

I tested the low pressure sensor, I could not get a satisfactory reading from it so I replaced it $65 figured why not. No positive results.

Still no power to the compressor at the pig tail. Jumped the compressor and it runs and blows ice cold air. Outside of a broken wire somewhere I am at a wall. The wiring harness looks to be in really good shape I am going to see if I can get continuity from the fuse box to the pig tail with everything engaged.

Oh wait, one more thing so I replaced the control panel in the cab this time last year the dial indicator on the passenger side would flash on start up for a minute or two. I bought a new one from the dealer installed it and was good but the flashing started again. Seems when this light flashed the dial indicator has or is loosing its calibration but I can not find anything showing where it will prevent the compressor from running.

Dunno about you, but the engine wiring harness on my 2012 JKU is starting to fall apart. I just had to replace the #2 camshaft position sensor connector as the conductors broke inside the insulation due to poor strain relief from the factory.

The AC compressor is controlled from the computer directly, but you should be able to see something from the connector. Do you have continuity to ground through the - side of it? And you mentioned you're not seeing voltage... Are the other fuses for the instrument panel/radio/fan/hvac all in good shape and the sockets in the fuse box in good shape? There is a ton of crap that sounds like it can lead to the clutch not working correctly from a computer standpoint. Maybe probe the TIPM connector for the clutch to see if its the wiring between the TIPM and the connector for the compressor?

I need to get a service manual for mine here soon...

Umm yea... lol

So my harness looks good but the crap plastic chaffing gear is rotted off from the heat. I am
Going to test some more and try to pull wiring diagrams I have to take it to the dealer for a recall might let them take a run at it see it from the computer side. Sucks the dealer is over an hour drive local place will not touch my Jeep even refused to do the air bag recall because it is modified from factory with lift tires ect...

Yes all the fuses are good tested every fuse and relay in the system. Going to just keep checking

Someone with a good scan tool or auto enginuity software should be able to tell you if your control module is outputting the signal to start the compressor. I’ve never specifically tried that on mine, but I’m pretty sure that I’ve seen climate controls in some of the sensor menus.

Kinda my though but I was not sure that they would be able to see anything A/C related. Either way gonna book it at the dealer that will look into it.

Problem is fixed... so I started all o Er with the testing I check every single fuse and relay. All good

I checked for continuity between the ground side one the two prong connector and the battery. All good.

Checked you 12v and it is present on the blueish green wire. Plugged it back up and system works..
?‍♂️

But I was not getting 12v prior to the sensor change out so I do suspect it was bad. And after change I fault a loose connection for the issue because I I did was unplug test and hook it back up.

How is it grounded, and is there a problem on that side of the circuit?

It grounds through the circuit hot wire and ground wire. Worked for about 5 minutes and quit again, feel like I am not chasing a connection issue.

If there's a good AC specialist in your area, they may do a quality job for less than the dealer.
