This is owned by a good long-time friend of mine. I know this vehicle and it's history quite well and could not recommend it and it's owner any more! This FJ has had very meticulous maintenance it's whole life, and is good to go. It has been used as intended, but any and all issues that have ever come up were handled asap.

If you are looking for an FJ, you really should consider this one! Don't let the low post count cloud your judgement.

I have an 08 FJ w/ supercharger since new w/ 180k miles and have always got right around 15mpg whether I'm city or freeway...the supercharger is worth every penny IMO

Was is the rpm @ 80mph highway speed?
What is fuel capacity and mpg?

RPM at 80mph is @3,000
19 gallon tank and I get 15mpg consistently
Even fully loaded its able to maintain speed in 4th gear up and over Floyd Hill, Eisenhower, and Vail Pass

If you're looking for extended range, Man a Fre offers a nice expedition aux fuel tank that tucks behind the rear axle and doubles fuel capacity:

agreed that supercharged is the way to go, that is how my current GMC yukon xl is setup...

as for RPM, 3000rpm is really high... at least in the v8 world I live in and am used to... i cant imagine doing a long trip at that rpm...do you find that high?

btw, that is a nice rig and clearly you paid attention to many details...

Most of the driving I've done in this rig is in the mountains, so sustained speeds of 75+mph is rare, more like 65, however on the occasion I have made longer trips, the V6 is pretty comfortable at that rpm range. Also keep in mind it has been geared to 4.56 (OEM is 3.73) and only on 33s. I've ended up liking the additional engine power and especially engine braking with that gearing, tire size and engine revs for mountain and off road driving. Bumping up to 35s would drop the revs, but have never felt the need to go that big.

And thank you! I've really enjoyed building and using this rig through its many iterations over the last 15 years. Where it stands now there is very little I would do to improve it.
