2006 Mercedes Sprinter Custom
Our intent was to build a multi-purpose van; Passenger van, Camper van, Motorcycle hauler
It is a 2006 with 103,000 miles.
- 5 cyl Mercedes turbo diesel (avg 22mpg)
- 2500 series (3/4 ton) (pulls my enclosed trailer easily)
- 6 captains chairs, and 1 rear bench (all seats removeable) (picture of seating arrangement taken before interior remodel)
- Reese hitch
- Trailer brake controller
- New tires
- New Brakes
- All new suspension by "Van Compass"; Billstien struts in the front, Fox shocks on the rear, SUMO Springs front and rear. See link FOX RACING REAR SHOCK/BILSTEIN HD STRUT/SUMO SPRING FRONT AND REAR UPGRADE (94-06) SPRINTER 2500
- All Walls and doors insulated with mineral wool
- Roof insulated with poly-iso
- All new upholstered wall, ceiling, and door panels from the drivers cab area all the way back. ( we left the "cockpit area as is - it was in great shape)
- new carpet padding and new rubber flooring
- Roof mounted vent/fan
- All new L.E.D. lighting
- New Stereo system (2-4"kickers, 4-6"X9" Rockford Fosgate, 1-10" Rockford Fosgate powered Subwoofer)
- Auxillary Battery system (operates all lighting, vent fan, TV/DVD player, Aux Heat). Battery will charge when vehicle is running, but is isolated when key is "off"
- Pre-wired for flip down DVD/TV ( I have this in the box, but not installed)
- Pre-wired for rear Aux heat ( I have a diesel ESPAR heater that can be included separately )
- Motorcycle tie downs in the rear
This is a great rust free Van with many different options for use. I kept it as versatile as I could for our use, but could easily be transformed into a full time camper van
$14,000 obo - I would consider a trade for a small Toy Hauler camper as well
Thanks for looking
