The 96 vintage 6.8L is one of the good ones as long as you don't plan to soup it up much. Down pipe and exhaust, home porting of the turbo to intake plenum, last you seal the inner fender for dust leaks and mod the core suport for air and it's ready to go. Most all the minor problems are gone by 96 and 97 and I'd take it as fast as a 7.3 of that vintage but that's not saying it will be real easy to sell later.
