Why wouldn't they just sell it to the back up bidder? It sure makes you wonder about eBay auctions some times.

I think you're looking at the auction that ended 13 Sept. The listing says "sold." Maybe the buyer couldn't come up with the cash. Or maybe the seller posted a phantom bid to keep the sale from happening. (Wouldn't that incur eBay transaction costs?)

The current auction high bid is $36,766.66, with 6 days to go. The ad says "no reserve." So whatever the high bid is will be the sale price.

9-24-12...I am relisting due to complications with my buyer.....PLEASE, PLEASE,PLEASE... Read and only bid if you are willing to purchase and have the funds to buy.

It's the same seller and vehicle, which seems odd as there were 80 other bidders and the penultimate bid was only $100 less than the failed winning bid!

As has been said, why not simply revert to that bidder, whom presumably wanted the 'Roamer?
