Started life as a 2005 LJ Rubicion automatic equipped with Cruise Control & Hardtop

AEV 5.7 Hemi Conversion using 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Truck engine and 545rfe trans.
Transmission Flush completed at time of swap

2010 JK Rubicon Axles were swapped in (stronger than TJ axles, increase track width for stability)

The motor & trans had 30k on them when swapped in. I've put about 35k on the jeep since then. The frame off restoration/build was done in 2010. The odometer reads 110k as it sits now.

This thing is sweet...but if you were considering an FJ, why wouldn't you just put the back seat back into this...it would be 10000x more capable and it's already built

The vehicles are very similar and yes the jeep is built to the gills. I'm looking to downsize $$$ wise (looking to purchase a home) and to get more interior room and storage. The fj's are definitely roomier inside up front and in the rear. I'll never find a more capable vehicle or get the $$$ I have into it back but I have used it and enjoyed it for 2+ years and I'm sure someone else will find it to be as amazing as I have.

Yeah it's time for a new home. Need something bigger. It took us all across the US with no problems whatsoever. We did almost 10k in 2+ months. He did a great job in putting it together.

Greg Henderson of AEV built this jeep and has done nearly 100% of the work on it. He can vouch for its build quality. Currently has catalytic converters removed, can be reinstalled by any competent exhaust shop. Check engine light is on b/c of this. I've never had an issue getting it passed through NYS emissions; would just clear the code before I went in.
