2003 Sequoia build

I have a set of spidertrax that need a single stud replaced if you are interested. I would let them go cheap as they are just taking up space in my garage right now

Been a bit since I worked on the sequoia, but I’m always searching the classifieds for deals, and I found one last week. I got a move embark bumper with winch plate for half price and started welding it up at my friends house the other day.3356E041-1CB7-4562-9950-90B0997934FE.jpeg

I should probably add that the move embark is a hybrid tube bumper, and while I got a great deal on it, I have an issue with it that bugs me. I have a one inch body left and when I adjusted the bumper on the frame mounts to fit, my radiator is exposed and there is no way for the bumper to tie into the skid plate. If I didn’t have a body lift however, I think this would still be a problem. I think I’m going to have to fab a custom skid plate for the truck now. More pics when the bumper is done

Did you fab the body lift yourself or buy a kit? Daystar made a 1" kit for the tundra for a while but they discontinued them a few years back.

Ya, I bought the body kit from 4crawler for a crew cab tundra and made it fit the sequoia. For a 1-1.5” you’ll only need a steering extension and radiator drop brackets. The bumpers are simple enough to make fit with a dremel. I had to buy one pair of bolts for the most rear body mounts (not present on the tundra) and was able to find the size in grade 8 from ace hardware. The bolts and pucks are the same otherwise

I finally almost finished the bumper. I made some artistic changes in the design of the bars on the wings. I think it came out pretty well. Decided not to finish the Bill bar tonight because it was packed in spray foam which is probably the MOST inconvenient way to package anything. Also they didn’t angle and notch the bullbar which I think is complete bs for a kit bumper. So I’ll do it tomorrow. Let m know what you think!587320D2-5E47-4A66-A8BD-0CD94754C5A6.jpegDA7E41B8-087E-46A9-90C5-D30B0510A16C.jpeg664E5C7C-2E46-4A0B-8074-0B3AAA34241D.jpeg

Been a while since I posted because, after building my offroad trailer, I've been using and abusing (enjoying) the rig, and not changing much. I did add some baja designs lights to the front, and a coastal offroad bumper to the rear. I wish I had documented the rear bumper better, but It was a hectic time in our lives and I wasnt thinking of taking pics through the build process. but I have some cool (i think) changes coming up and will do a better job of documenting. here are some pics of the truck and trailer this year. Such a nice job setting up your rig. Quick question. What notch on your 5100s do you have it set up at with you C59-314 springs and hows the ride? Been trying to dial mine in and on the 2nd set of Dobinson springs. Can't seem to get the height I want without using a strut spacer which I'd really like to ditch if I could.

Yeah make sure you cross out that plate so no one can find you LOL.....did you happen to change the timing belt and water pump yet? What do you mean when you say "timing was corrected"?
