I don't want a 6" lifted truck camper for a couple reasons:

1) COG as mentioned, at the lift point of this truck you have lost a good deal of handling ability at highway speeds. I don't want to put a vehicle on it's side perhaps having to do a defensive driving maneuver.
2) Overhead clearance to enter areas (same why I don't want duals). You don't want to be the largest vehicle footprint possible trying to enter forest service secondary roads at least in our state. Trees are up there and you're better at a lower height the Tiger already tall.
3) Sucks for towing this lifted you have to do a step-down hitch.
4) Hard to get in truck cab. I'm 5'11'' I'm not getting up there easily. Perhaps it has running boards for me to smash off-roading. Also at 6" you've added an extra step to get in your camper too!
5) Looks bad, I don't think the vehicle gains any sexiness points from a 6" lift especially when you add running boards/tubes
6) Stressing OEM equipment. Truck camper is already a good load for a chassis

Also I feel a lift should be towards the end of the list on off-road vehicle modifications and it is often done first when you'd be better off locking axles putting on a winch etc. It has been said a big truck lift can help compensate mentally for smaller male parts only to be laughing stock of rest of society (cause we all know aint foolin nobody)

While I'd agree with most comments regarding overly high lifts on a Tiger, I wouldn't agree that all lifts are bad. A well engineered lift, shock, spring, suspension, airbag, tire, wheel combination will dramatically increase the capability, comfort, driveability and safety of the vehicle over the OEM peices that maybe overloaded, overused or simply worn-out.
There's simply no comparison between our original, worn-out OEM suspension and the new 3" lift, suspension on our Tiger.

(Besides, I "compensate" with my guns anyway, not my suspension......)

I 100% agree BritKLR. IF you notice I mentioned a 6" lift specifically as being too much for my style and why. I think 2" - 3" is an excellent range for Tiger wasn't tryin to dog on anyone specifically. On your chassis and quite a few others the Tiger sits on I think you could benefit from inches vs stock especially earlier 3/4 ton models. 6" lift even has it places just not on my dream truck camper :p

2" lift here. Road Armor front bumper and a little trimming clears 35's all day long.

Nice.
Where did you do the trimming? Looks pretty close on front of that rear tire.
Did you re gear?

My stock Ram 1 ton next to a 90’s GMC 3/4. No lift on mine but 33.5” tall tires. Reference the driver mirrors, the 90’s 3/4 ton Tigers are short.

Stock gearing. The 8.1, Allison, 35’s and 3:73’s is the perfect setup.

I trimmed a little non structural sheet metal on the firewall and was able to move the inner fender liner back 1”.
35’ 17” method rims, 18mm offset clears almost perfectly. I do rub the sway bar a tiny bit under full lock......no enough to bother or impede the truck ability.

the coach is wide and the rear tire is set in quite a bit.
might look close, thats the camera
