WHAT IS IT?
This highly sought after 4x4 7.3L manual transmission is a decommissioned Bureau of Land Management (BLM) “Hot Shot Buggy”. Hot Shot Buggies are crew carriers used by BLM and Forest Service firefighters. These trucks are meticulously maintained by the crews that use them. There’s a bit of nostalgia in buying this!
Same exterior feel of an ambulance but without all the built-in cupboards, shelves, wiring, etc. that you would have to work around. This is a clean slate to build however you would like.

We have gutted, prepped and gone through all the systems so you can easily start your own build!
Vehicles were purchased to upfit and sell but other projects (building our own rig) have taken priority so we are offering as-is although further upfitting is an option through Technique Vehicle Outfitters (previously J.ATT Industries) depending on purchasers needs. We sold our Earth Cruiser after buying these and now want to concentrate our efforts on building our new rig vs. building these out.

Listing is for base price for the buggy rig as-is. Additional options available (for an added cost): Raised roof (6’0” minimum interior height), suspension upgrade to facilitate conversion to super single wheels/tires, infrastructure buildout of wires, heating, cooling, plumbing, pass-through, buildout of living space....they can do it all.
As-is this truck handles very well off-road, on 4x4 trails, on the highway, etc.

- Removed all interior down to studs including fire crew seats, walls, subpar insulation, ceiling, AC/heating unit and lines, and back wall
- Oil, filter and fluids change
- Replaced climate control blower, fan speed resistor
- Fixed boost leak
- Replaced all missing knobs and latches
- Engine and interior degreased and washed
- Small chip in windshield
- Exterior penetrations from removing AC and removing crew seats
- Sun fading on paint on hood
- Mounting holes on dashboard
