I just remembered a third LMTV owner (and forum member) in Arizona who uses Progressive. His agent said commercial policies are “way more forgiving.”

I suspect a good local agent is the key.

This
I submitted info on a LMTV with a habitat to my StateFarm agent and after he told me how amazing it was, he quoted my $600/year and wanted to know if wanted glass replacement and towing coverage ?

I had to tell him AAA probably won’t tow it. He was great to work with.

We bought towing through Good Sam. I explained our vehicle to the sales rep who said it would be covered. Their website says:

“... no motorhome tow is too difficult for Good Sam Roadside Assistance. We have a network 40,000 strong with specialty equipment required for towing motorhomes and we have the knowhow, with over 30 years' experience and 2 million roadside rescue. ...”
Copied from https://www.goodsam.com/roadside-assistance/motorhome-towing/

A LMTV would be easy compared to a 43 foot motorhome. Coach-Net is the other big name in RV towing.

Edit: I meant easier to tow, not easier to buy towing insurance.

We’re back in the Phoenix area. $56,000 with everything shown in this ad. If there are parts you don’t need or want, we can remove them and deduct from the price. For example, the solar systems (panels, batteries, inverter, etc) would be worth several thousand dollars to us.

Edit: price reduced 3/1/21
