200 Series Rental/Fleet Vehicle on CarFax

I'm in the market for a LC200
plans are car camping and light overlanding

I've seen a few LC come thru my area and carfax will reveal rental/fleet vehicle
Usually out of Utah or Louisiana

Wondering what these were used for and whether it would still be a good buy.

They seem to have high mileage the first year or 2 about 25-30K a year
So likely mostly freeway miles

Condition seemed good
and cosmetically clean

Anyone have any experience? I've searched for land cruiser rentals and don't see any places doing it.
I'm assuming maybe an executive's business vehicle bought through the company

Probably not abused....seem to have decent service records.
usually in the sub 100K miles which I'm comfortable with.

I would think it’s just a rental? Or car service maybe. I know companies like Avis and Hertz Enterprise do car sales. On Avis there are a TON of 4 Runners on there 2020 that are at significant discount I think and they are running at 35k miles. A lot of them are sold out of Colorado and I’m just assuming tons of people get them and drive all over.

I’m looking at LCs and and just so many few and far between for the sweet spot I’m willing to pay. Seems like the ones over 100k miles are going around mid to high 30s. Then it’s like 80k miles are mid 40s. I’d love to find one with around 65-70k miles for 44-46k$ it’s out there

IMO Land Cruisers are the second best off-road vehicle there is.

The first? A rental car.

I would apply far more scrutiny to a rental vehicle purchase personally. If it gets a thorough PPI and checks out, the right price would sway me.
