1998 Fuso FG Tow Capacity???

My brother recently purchased a 1998 Fuso FG 4x4 with 5 speed manual transmission. Does anyone know what the towing capacity is? Or where we could find it? Thanks in advance

Subtract the gross vehicle mass (GVM) from the gross combination mass (GCM), both of which should be detailed on the compliance plate.

It's normally around 3.5 tonne.

Keep in mind that putting on over sized tires will drastically affect stopping ability and hence tow capacity.

Towing with an FG

I'm considering purchase of a cruising sailboat on a trailer. Total weight around 8000 lbs. Trailer has surge brakes. Is it reasonable to think a 99Fg would tow it? I wouldn't tow it often but when I did, I might tow it quite a distance. My FG with camper currently weighs around 11500lbs...

The compliance only lists the GVWR and GAWR for front and rear axle. I guess a more direct question would be if anyone has the GCWR or GCM for the vehicle. I understand tire size and brakes come into play and would need to rely on trailer brakes for stopping the trailer.

Obviously the US models are plated differently to the Australian models.
