In 1997, Land Rover’s “Special Vehicles” department of Solihull converted seven brand new LHD military Defender 110 300 tdi for Sir Ranulph Feinnes, celebrated British explorer, for a transcontinental expedition. Based on the military Land Rover, these Defenders, called Wolf, are more robust than a standard Defender. They have a reinforced chassis and axles, 24v electrical circuits, separate transmission oil cooler and Safety Device internal and external safety cage.
Our vehicle, originally R651BAC, was outfitted entirely by professionals specialising in long distance expeditions. It is exceptional, easy to drive and comfortable (but it is not a BMW Q5). This one-off Defender Wolf does not leave you indifferent!
