Ok so I am selling my Land Cruiser. I always am as honest as I can about the vehicles I am buying and selling. I will disclose any and everything I know about them because that is how I want people to be with me. So having said that, here is the info on this truck. I am the second owner. I bought it 3 1/2 years ago from a wealthy dude who used it as his summer truck at his mountain home in Idaho. He special ordered it new in '97 when he was living in Oregon. It later was sent to Texas when he moved, and then to his retirement home in Idaho. It was bone stock when I bought it and had 100,328 miles on it when I took it over. He was selling it because his wife had a stroke and could no longer get up into it. At the time the guy had 9 cars at 3 homes. They were all white over gray lol. He had put tires on it 3 years before I bought it and those tires only had 5000 miles on them. I flew out and drove it back from Victor, Id with my dad it was an awesome first trip with the truck, and great shake down run. I really have loved it, and see why people are so fanatical about thier cruisers. I fully understand why people regret selling them, I already do. But the facts are that right now I need a truck. I coach a ton of baseball and softball and the 80 just does not have the space for all the gear. Pitching machine, t's, backstops, gear bags etc. Plus I just do not have the time like I used to, to do builds. I also wish I had time for more vehicle trips, but we play ball all year in Florida and I usually am coaching 3 or 4 teams at a time with rec and travel ball. I literaly am at fields 6 or 7 days a week 8 months out of the year. In the time I have owned it I have been cross country to Florida, up to Uwharrie in N.C. down to the glades and S.W. Fl. and few trips to Ocala area with it. The rest has been a baseball commuter lol.

This summer after state baseball championships, we went on a 4 week trip and unfortunatley the cruiser ran into some issues. After staying for a week in Huntsville, Al for repairs at a toyota dealer, we brought it back to Atl and dropped it off at the ACC Garage to get fixed. Then we went and bought a new ZR2. I just traveled back to ATL to pick up the Cruiser and it is now ready to sell. While in Huntsville we had the fan clutch and a/c system repaired. ACC rebuilt both drive shafts and added castor correction bushings to the front axle. I also had ACC do a top to bottom report of everything on the truck. $500 inspection! I have the full report of thier observations available.

Over the past few years I have done some repairs and mods to the truck as would be expected on a 21 yr old vehicle. I have rebuilt the front axle with all new seals, bearings, gaskets and Birfs. I also made over the brake system with new longer braided lines, DBA rotors, EBC pads and a full flush. All fluids and filters changed. I have been running the 15,000 Mobile1 oil. The radiator, thermostate and hoses were done by the original owner a month before I took possesion of the truck.

I have also done some mods to the truck including a dual battery system using a selenoid on a custom stainless bracket I made, and added the factory 2nd battery tray with a slee washer relocation kit. There are 2 agm batteries. I added an anderson connection between the 2 batteries as to disconnect the 2nd battery and or plug in a solar panel. There are 2 fuse blocks inside the truck. The one mounted on the passengers seat is tied into the ignition key so it is hot when the key is on. It powers all the additional power outlets added in the front (4 usb) and middle rows (12v round). It has several spots open to add radios etc. And there is a tablet mount in the truck to run navigation on as I was doing. The second fuse panel is in the rear passengers side cubby and runs off the 2nd battery. It is hot all the time for running fridges or devices full time. ( 2 usb and 2 12v round) All wiring braided, loomed and run along factory bundles under the hood as well as under the carpet. 100% of the interior was removed for the wiring install. It was great to see that there was no rust and I also cleaned those never seen before areas of the truck.

I installed an Autocraft Slinky kit which was a total nightmare of an experience. The original importer was really difficult and in the end I installed the heavy 3.5" kit which is not what I wanted, but after multiple attempts to get it corrected I was unable to get the set up I ordered. So as to correct for the taller kit, I installed castor plates and Trail Taylor adjustable upper and lower links on the rear. We also did adjustable trac bars. However this kit is designed to be used on a truck with full armour, and I never got around to that. As a result now that everything is out of the truck, even with new shafts there is a slight vibration. ACC also said that the front needed a few more degrees adjustment so we had them do the castor bushings. I did not really experience issues driving since I always had a ton of gear in the truck for baseball. The suspension rides well and flexes well with the dual rate coils and Icon shocks. That suspension kit performs awesome, but in hind sight I should have gone with the OME kit and saved myself a ton of headaches to get it all sorted. From what I hear the new distrubutor is way better. And my experience dealing with the manufacturer is Australia was great. I just couldn't get the USA guy to get me exactly what I ordered.

I installed 5 matching 16x7 tacoma wheels and 255/85/16 tires with balance beads. Since I had not yet done gears and lockers I stayed with 33" tires to better match factory gearing. I installed 1.5" wheel spacers too. It is ready to bolt on up to 315 series tires with this lift.

In the rear is a custom built box which could be finished with drawers but I used 2 1650 Storm cases to hold gear in the box. Fridge and other gear went on top. I did fab brackets for an attic but did not have time to finish the project before we left on our trip. Brackets are mounted in the truck.

Most of the truck is original. Cloth seats with no rips, burns or tears, it's in good shape. Carpets are good in the first 2 rows. Rear cargo area has a worn spot under the box . It was like that when I bought it. All the body panels are original with no accidents. There is a slight ding in the rear drivers door from some jackwagon in a huge orange lifted truck who opened his door into mine and drove off. It's barely noticable but there. Also someone backed into drivers rear corner before before my lift, and gouged the plastic a bit. other then that it has some small paint chips here and there, but the paint itself is in good shape. No peeling clearcoat. There is some paint wear behind the front bug guard on the hood and on the roof under where the sunroof air deflector was. I removed the air deflector but still have it.

On the ACC report they found that there are 2 small oil leaks. One on the valve cover and one on the distributor. There is also a small power steering fluid leak. They indicate that the plugs show normal wear and no signs of burning oil, but are ready to be replaced along with the plug wires. Brake pads were at 30% front 70% rear, rotors were good. Tires were loud and show no weights, but that is because I used balance beads. They indicated that the alternator may have a bearing failing, but is working normal. They indicated that the truck has no heavy rust on the chassis and no rust on the tub.

So in a nut shell that is my truck. It's history, the good, the bad and the ugly lol. I hope it goes to a fellow overlander that has a bit more time then I do to finish it off. I was close but due to my current lifestyle choices I couldn't get it where I wanted it to be. My remaining plans were to do the Tundra alternator mod, regear and locker, sliders, front and rear bumpers and a winch. To me that would have been a done and perfect truck. I even asked ACC how much to do everything on thier list and mine. The money wasn't the issue it was really the time. I didn't have the time to really even think about starting the next round till January and they woudn't have been able to start on it outside of the neccesary repairs till the same time. So for that reason I bought the new ZR2 the next day and left my baby behind for 6 weeks to get fixed up. Now that I have the new truck I would love to keep them both and tinker with the 80 but I just had to be realistic with my schedule and priorities right now.

The guys at ACC talked with me about value and I have decided to shoot right in the middle of thier suggested range and ask $17K for it. The range on 80 series models varies alot for alot of reasons. But mine is clean, no rust, good interior and has a unique special order poverty pack, that was 3rd row delete and solid rear side windows. It has been pretty well taken care of by the original owner and myself. Everything I have done has been done with top quality parts and attention to detail. If you think thats to much that's fine. Make me an offer. But if you want a clean unit this is the truck. The truck is currently parked in the garge at my wifes parents house in Atlanta. I can make arrangements for it to be seen.

What kind of MPG does this get? Do you have the stock wheels still? How big a deal would it be to lower this back an inch?

Stock wheel are in Tampa with me. I suppose getting, them swapped could be sorted. Mog is like every other 80 series bad. Probably 12ish give or take. I have not really evercalculated the mileage. However this is not a long distance commuter unless u have an unlimited fuel budget.

Dropping it an inch is probably going to take more then it would be worth imo. New set of springs. Resetting rear castor maybe front. Might have to adjust track bars and then alighnment to do it right.
