Ah, $1250 for a truck with good bones. I sure di miss the ore-COVID era of used car and truck dealing off of Craigslist...

Had a leak at the transmission cooler line connection at the radiator. Decided that the fitting in the radiator was likely the culprit and decided to fire the parts cannon.

New radiator, 40k transmission cooler, Kloc hood latch bracket, new condenser.

Got a used Jeep bumper for less than steel to build my own, frame spacing is close, should only take a couple simple brackets to get it on there.

Test fit:

Truck has been in need of door pins and bushings for a while. Got a pile of parts from Cunningham Machine for that that I have been sitting on. Driver's window stopped windowing so pulled the door apart and off, found the track rusted through on the bottom of the window. Also found I needed oversized bushings in two of the locations so ordered those.

Pins

Bushings

Roller, Spring and Arm

Truck has had no AC since I got it. Had a hose worn through. Hoses seized to Evaporator core so also fired the parts cannon at that. Evap core, lines, condenser, accumulator all being replaced. Going to see if the compressor works first but I'm guessing I'll need that too.

Also have a new rubber floor mat to put in so out with all the interior...

I just replaced the suction/discharge hoses on my 1995 Tahoe. I wanted to replace the orifice tube while I was at it, but that line was seized to the condenser, and I was afraid I was going to destroy the condenser trying to remove it. I'm afraid that I have the same job lined up for me in the future as well, as I'm sure I will also have to replace the evaporator and condenser at some point due to the lines being seized.
