1986 toyota 1 ton 4x4 build

Yes lots of progress! All my epoxy showed up 4 days after ordered, so thats sweet. I have 1 layer of heavily overlapped 1700 2/3 down each side. I have one layer on the interior floor - it will get 1/4" birch ply over that for my finished floor. Then i'll be flipping the whole thing over to do 2 layers of 1700 on the bottom of the floor, and finished up the cieling walls.

I also made up some plywood hardpoints and epoxied those in.

There are pros and cons either way. It's much easier to get a good layup when gravity is helping... but I need help every time I have to move a piece. Wrangling an extra set of hands isn't always easy.
 
Progress has been slow around here, or at least slow by the standards of someone who wants to take off in 2 months haha.

Anyways, i have almost finished glassing. Tomorrow ill be slipping the body for the second to last time, to do the inside of the roof. After that, back on its feet ill frame the door opening, and shes effectively ready to mount!

I finally drove the truck to the scales, just under 3k lbs! I can still lift up any side of this body solo, im guessing at its current stage it weighs in around 500.

My goal is still to leave in december, we'll see how that goes. Ive already rented my house for the winter, so im committed. I know it wont be done 100%, but id be happy with a bed/sink/stove. 20211009_141512.jpg20210918_142201.jpg20211009_141518.jpg
