My wife and I have decided to become a 1 car family so we are selling both our vehicles and buying 1 that can do it all. I wish that could be my G, but alas it is not(tears well up in the eye).

I bought this vehicle from Roman 2 years ago and it has been absolutely fantastic and trouble free. We have done many road trips, including down to California and Northern BC.

I have used some of his advert as I cant remember everything he told me
Thats said here it is:

It is eligible for import into the US.
It has the original OM617 normally aspirated 3.0 liter 5 cylinder diesel engine.
88 PS - Not fast but solid as a rock.
It has a cast iron block with a cast iron head which is the best most robust combination.
The gearing is 44:9 which is a 4.90 gear ratio. Great off road and decent on the highway and in the city.
The transfer case has a 2:1 further reduction in the W460s.
The 4 speed manual transmission (replaced all shift bushings) and an OM617 gets an easy 24 to 25 mpg on the highway.

It runs any form of WVO or waste oil with little or no mods.
It has a 1 year rolling average of about 11.4 liters per 100 kms - in Canada (23 to 24 mpg - imperial gallons that is) which is probably the best fuel economy for a 5300# dry weight 4x4 with 4.90 gearing.( this is what Roman got and I measure the same)
I have put only 15000 kms on in 2 years. It had 213 000km when I bought it. (I had to replace the speedo because I pushed it when I was driving and stripped the little cog!) Replaced with a used one which works great.

It has a factory replacement transmission by Mercedes likely 5 - 12 years old.
It is all original OEM with no accidents but was repainted in Germany about 8 years ago with the original colour.

It has the 9 seater option (no seat belts for the very back 2 sideways bench seats).
It has all 4 power windows.
OEM manual throttle fine adjuster.
A low end Sony AM/FM CD, replacement GWagen bucket and bench seats in mint condition (with seat covers to keep them in great shape),
3 year old front brake rotors and pads(65% per my Mercedes Mechanic)).
It has been maintained meticulously, oil changes at the latest every 5,000 kms in the last 7 years(5 years previous to me and the 2 years I have owned it. Serviced at Hennkel Auto in Vancouver(Mercedes Specialist) for the past 2 years.

The history in Germany is impossible to verify.
4 new high quality coil springs (German supplier + 50 mm lift) were installed about 3 years ago with 4 new oil dampened ProComp aftermarket shock absorbers.
It has a 2" receiver trailer hitch.
All fluids are less than 2 years old. (both diffs, transmission, transfer case, clutch fluid, locker fluid, coolant, brake fluid)
(engine oil is a month old - not 2 years old!)
Comes with the map reading light assembly.
Extra floor mats and some filters.
It has hydraulic locking differentials front and rear. I have never used or tried them but my mechanic tells me they work just fine.

Manual locks on all 5 doors.
It has a few rust spots but nothing major and nothing structural. You have to see the vehicle for yourself. GWagens have known areas of concern as you all likely know.
Frame is rock solid.
The tires have about 70% left on them(excluding the spare which has 100%). They are: Nokian Vatiiva 31x10.5, R15LT. They look great and handle better. Alloy Mercedes rims. Fairly rare(I have never seen them on another G.

Comes with factory brush bar.
Has clear headlights and the front indicators have been changed to the clear(white) as apposed to the original amber.
I am listing my original condition 300GD for $13k - no low ballers please.

My "G" has a lot of life left in it.
About $25k was spent on it in total after it arrived in Canada from Hamburg.

PM me if seriously interested or email: dengwe@shaw.ca
Located in Vancouver Canada.
It is air cared (smog check) in BC for those people in Vancouver and passes with flying colours.

Cheers, Ryan

Asking 13K.
As for the 1 car that will do it all, it is yet to be decided but you can imagine it is a difficult not to make that a G. I have owned a series 3 LWB Landy and a Series 3 SWB landy as well as a V8 110 Landy, not to mention all the Land Cruisers I used as work vehicles. But the G does top them all :(

Does anyone know if we need to wait 2 more years to import this to the US? This would be a great alternative to owning our 2 Jeeps that I am going to be selling soon.

If this were on the east coast I would drive up with check book in hand to take a close look.

Any interest in driving it my way?

All the best with the sale

I really wish this were near me

This is a nice looking truck (from the pictures) & is priced appropriately.

Someone will be happy
