Nice truck.

Though the unparalleled, meticulous, elite, iconic, force to be reckoned with, superlative sales pitch kinda made me gag a bit.

Thanks for adding to the forum fellas. I must say, however, the thread thus far is not consummate with what I expected, and have experienced in the past from the overland community, and certainly is not a warm welcome for a new member to the forum.

That being said, I am fully open to constructive dialog if anyone has any questions about the build, FJ40s, the 4BT or over landing / off-roading in general.

Thanks again and have a wonderful New Years

LVBBK.... Sorry for the not so warm welcome from others. I would like to say that I can appreciate the amount of work and effort that went into creating a rig like this. Im not sure why these few wanted to come right out with negative comments but such is the world these days. Oddly enough I am also from Leesburg... Best of luck and welcome

Don't know any spec ops guys would intentionally put a picture of themselves on the internet, with an unobscured plate no less?!

Except the navy, they have a different take......

Needs steel body, tall/skinny tires, stock look wheels. Then maybe you can legit ask $60k

And an FJ40 is not a full size SUV.

Spend that much on a mint, older Gwagen instead, which would walk all over this fat-tired thing.

Lots of options for damn near 60k that don't look as cobbled together.

Guess opsec isn't a thing any more.

Nut/bolt restorations are going for slightly more than this. Looks like someone let themselves get talked into many bad decisions (trying to copy icon4x4 on a budget?) A resto mod gone wrong and now the owner is trying to get out of it at top dollar. I do like the wording of the ad. Feels very 1998 used car salesman with the "intelligent design was meticulously executed.." lol. The thing that irks me is the "designed by one of America's finest" thing. That is either someones ego running in overdrive or a salesman pathetic attempt to sell a car based on patriotism. Did Rob O'Neill shoot bin laden and drive away in this or maybe it's an E4 with dependa pmts needs to dump an expensive toy?

You guys are a bunch of ************* *******s. Let the man advertise his FJ without the BS posts. I'd say I wouldn't expect this kind of trash out of this forum but this kind of crap is why I stopped coming here, it's 99% glamping/ tacticool lifestyle and fashion and 1% real off-roading/ camping/ adventuring. Get over yourselves.

Pangle, eblau & Msand, thanks for the kind words. Though I couldn't agree with you more, if the previous posts actually bothered me I would have responded in kind. The only thing that is somewhat irksome is Mr. Outside Somewhere's blatant condescension towards E4s and their dependents. I suppose the entire forum now knows his true thoughts about those young members of our society who chose a path of service towards something greater than self.

Pangle, very cool you are a local. Have you ever spent time on any of the trails in the GW National Forest?

Hope everyone has a wonderful New Years.

I agree, I do not tend to get involved with/respond to any type of negativity whether in the Internet world or real world. I just dont even understand this societal need for people to post their opinions like its truth or fact, and or to negatively comment just because they can... I have no time, or patients for negativity.

I have not spent much time on the trails per se but I have spent lots of time in national parks, state parks etc. Usually when i complete a build I will live/travel in them for awhile so I can enjoy what I have done, then I sell them on so i can move on to other projects. I enjoy taking something that has lived a life and giving it new use/purpose.

Best of luck on the sale.

Thanks brother. She’ll go either here or at auction.

Pangle, if you see either a power wagon with a light bar or a rubicon with a poison spider front end toss a wave.
