A customer of mine over heard I was looking for an older Land cruiser and said his father has one just hanging out in his barn. I know its hard to see everything from just pictures. What do you guys think ? Is it worth bringing back to life ? I'm from south Louisiana so the heat and humidity has not been friendly. It was driven and parked where it sits over 10 years ago.

A powerwasher and some baselining and you'll probably be driving it in a week or two. Looks complete, but crusty. Wouldn't scare me away if the price was right. Have fun! ;)

Owner says the odometer is correct. Only 62k on the clock. Does $2500 sound like a good deal ?

I think it has a 5-digit odometer so that might be taken with a grain of salt. Depending on how long it was used that could be 362k miles, too.

But no matter, it's almost always worth saving an FJ40. They aren't making any more of them after all. If the frame isn't toast and the rest is mostly there $2500 is pretty good.

yup put $45000 into it and have a $35,000 rig :). It would fun to know the story why it was parked with 62000 if that is the real milage and how it was just left to rust away.
