10L "Jerry can", 11L Dometic "Go Hydration" or Rotopax for water?

I bought one from the Black Friday sale and, while I’ve only used it on a few single overnight trips, it’s pretty awesome! Yeah it’s expensive and you can put something together that would do all the same things, but it’s ridiculously handy and easy to use. I think the system is pretty well...

    Lowa Boots A+++

I’ve got a pair of the Lowa Renegade GTX and they are the most comfy boots I’ve ever had.

Thoughts for an Overlander in today's market? Suggestions?

Outside of the gas mileage, used LX570’s are a great bargain and ridiculously capable.

10L "Jerry can", 11L Dometic "Go Hydration" or Rotopax for water?

FWIW - Dometic has the GO jugs and faucet for 20% off right now!

    Overland-ish Base Camp Ground Tent

I have the Nemo Aurora Highrise 4p and it’s a great tent for the money. Marmot is another great brand that offers great bang for your buck. Stepping up price wise, my next family tent will probably be a Seek Outside tipi with a stove - it offers more room, packs more compact, lighter weight, etc.

    Tundra vs LC200 Parts Commonality

I think IH8MUD would be the place to get more data on this. But as mentioned, guys there are using Tundra front control arms, etc to do long travel suspension setups, including in the LX570.

Adventure Vehicle advice for a growing family?

While I agree with all of this sentiment…parents of multiples have a different set of challenges that seem hard for singleton parents to really fathom, based on my experience.

Adventure Vehicle advice for a growing family?

+1 to a.boelkin’s post! Twins are exponentially tougher and given the fact that you already have a little one - it’s gonna be HARD. I’d hold off on anything until the twins get a bit older. Mine just turned 3 and we’re just now to the point where we feel that they are ready for more adventurous...

Nice! I saw this one posted on Autotrader. Did you decide not to sell it?

    Rumpl blanket

Keep an eye out at your local Costco for the down throw blankets that they have occasionally. It was 2 for $40 a few years ago. Hammock campers use them a lot and mod them.

RTT to ground tent any regrets or vice versa

I don’t understand why tipis aren’t more popular here. Seems like they’ve got a lot to offer for car campers/overlanders. I thought I wanted a RTT, but after giving it some more thought, they just seem...cumbersome I guess. I’m going to order the Seek Outside Redcliff soon for a CO trip we’re...

Vaelintine's Day in Big Bend Ranch

That place is awesome! How come y'all didn't go all the way to Guale 2? I stayed their solo Christmas Eve in 2017.
