Fitting up a Hallmark Raton to a Tundra

Thanks. I have a hunt in early November and want to get it at least bare bones functional in time. It’s gonna be close. I have “grand” plans beyond that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fitting up a Hallmark Raton to a Tundra

For some reason this project has really caught on with my boys. I think they like the saws. See if they have any interest once the wood work is done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fitting up a Hallmark Raton to a Tundra

Decided I couldn’t stomach the tie downs on the bumper and can’t justify the cost of the frame mounts so I narrowed up the rear end to allow me to tie down to eye bolts through the floor of the bed. I saw FWC do a YouTube demo on this and figure if they stand by it I should be able to trust it...

Fitting up a Hallmark Raton to a Tundra

I put the camper on the truck tonight to check clearance and possible bolting down options. Still confused about what I’m going to do to bolt it down. I also have clearance issues with 2 of the angle brackets the jacks attach to. I’m going to add a 1/2” to the bottom and adjust the brackets...

Fitting up a Hallmark Raton to a Tundra

Yeah I hate that I needed to create a hollow space. It is all screwed together so as I see things come together I'll likely insulate it. I'm also hoping to create a few hatches for storage . Thanks for your input. I'm thinking of skipping the power from the truck and just setting up the...

Fitting up a Hallmark Raton to a Tundra

A couple questions to anyone: Looking around the internet and tie down options I have a few questions. I see that the front and rear tie downs should be opposite each other angle wise. Is there a prevailing thought on which one should be angled which direction? (Keeping in mind my camper will...

Fitting up a Hallmark Raton to a Tundra

I haven’t been around this forum for a while. It seems like the best resource for my current project. I picked up this Hallmark for $400. Structurally it’s in decent shape but it had been infested by mice and after an initial cleaning it still has quite an odor. I’ll work on that some more once...

    Fiberglass camper axle question.

I had the hubs so cost is really the new rims/tires. Thanks for the reply. I need a sanity check. Dumping the trailer here in states doesn't worry me too much but i would like to be running a tighter rig in Mexico.

    Fiberglass camper axle question.

I'm calling on your help here. I took frame off my camper to work on frame and wheels, add shocks and add some gerry can racks and a new bumper. My plan is to change hubs from 4 by 4 - 13" to 5 by 4.5 - 15". I will put on a 28-29" tire. The axle is 2000# Dexter. The shell in the pic weighs...

    New frame VIN issue

SO here is a question for you guys that have rebuilt a camper including a new frame. My camper is registered and the VIN is stamped on the tongue. I'm going to built a new frame to go under the camper. What do you do to transfer the registration if you want to sell the old frame? I hope I'm...

Little Leo's Overland Adventure to Baja and Back

. . "The next morning I told him we would be heading home. This brightened him up. He started packing up his toys and putting them in his bag. It brought a smile to my face watching him. There was a weight on my shoulders from his mood earlier and watching him now brought a smile to my face...

Help me Decide on a Furnace, for the Adrenalin - Propex, Espar, Webasto, Other?

I'm very sensitive to the issue due to an unfortunate accident that I won't go into. Big old bomber down sleeping bags are safe and free of mechanical defects. I barely care what other people do inside their own rigs but my wife and i would never be able to sleep with that thing running. Just...

Help me Decide on a Furnace, for the Adrenalin - Propex, Espar, Webasto, Other?

It was an unfortunate typo. Shameful i know. It just seemed strange that the post ended after saying that he would let everyone know how it worked out. The heating is something I've been struggling with as well. I have 2 small children and use a Mr. Heater sparingly.

Help me Decide on a Furnace, for the Adrenalin - Propex, Espar, Webasto, Other?

Reading this thread I can only assume this was a hoax. Anyone else have this thought? Two baby cribs and a dog in a closed space with a cat heater?
