1996-2001 XJ or 2001-???? WJ - Need Knowledgable Advice

My quick reply... The XJ for reliability, and I've had 4 XJ's, three ZJ's and one MJ. My best cherokee with loads of money spent, really before they were popular to lift. 7"es of lift on 35's and a whole lot of other parts. Great on the road and off. The XJ auto is an Aisin 4 speed...

Thanks for the testimonial. They are great trailers, but I'm at a no time to do extra things in my life time. New job, kids in sports etc. :D I'm a long way from you in Calif., I'm outside of Nashville, TN.

Sears 1942 to 46 Trailer (bantam)

As far as I can tell, this trailer is 1942 through 1946 Sears Trailer. Bantam made these for sears catalog sales. I bought it 4 years ago, replaced spring mounts on one side, repacked bearings, new studs and lug nuts, lights, and new 2" ball hitch with HD chains. It has a fold down tail gate...

    Jeep xj tire backspacing

Higher lift means less back spacing. You would be surprised how much better a lifted vehilce handles with a wider rim, wider stance, and tire. I've been lifting XJ's for about 15 years. I've tried just about every lift and tire size (not the megas, but up to a 38"er). The main thing about the XJ...

    Jeep commander or Hummer H3

What He said... the UZJ won't tow like the 5.7L, but will do a decent job towing up to 5000lbs. Quality, fit and finish... there is no comparison when it comes to the Yota, and I'm a Jeeper. The UZJ will be around for a lot longer than either of those, especially the H3 Goberment Motors Vehicle...

My new (to me) 87 XJ

Great Jeeps, I just bought and had one mildly spruced up for my nephew. I would do it myself, but no time for me to spend in the garage. This was an 88 limited with the gold package, and 210,000 miles on it. The thing runs so well. We removed all stickers and molding, put a 2" bb with shocks...

New To Full Size Fun: Ford Expedition

This is me too! I just bought a Ford Expedition '03 EB 4x4, with the 5.4L. I've had a bunch of Jeeps, and recently had a complete hub fail on my 5.9L grand cherokee. Just got off the interstate, and the wheel and brakes on the pass side came completely off. This sent me down a steep embankment...

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

My 15y/o nephew got the surprise of his life. He thought he was getting an i-touch, but instead, he got the Jeep XJ. The keys were wrapped in an i-touch box, so he was fooled right down to the wire. He loves it, I think he will prob. sleep in the thing tonight, even though it will be only 20...

    Jeep xj lift tire combo?

What Jeep guy said. Remember, you have a unibody. No need to sling a bunch of weight under there. The 8.8 is a perfect fit with the HP 30 IMOP. I think the 8.25 29 spline under many of those Cherokees aren't bad either. I ran a Chromoed, Warn Hubed 30, lok-rite locked, 4:56 geared, with an 8.25...

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

Well, I'm Jeepless right now, and absolutely hating it... but that doesn't mean I can't set my Nephew up with his first vehicle... His Dad asked me to help him find and fix up a car for him... Here it is 1988 Jeep Cherokee Limited; 2" bb with shocks, 255x70x16 GY's on 5.9L rims... recognize...

Thanks, no real plans to lift or do much to it. My expedition adventures these days are work during the week, and camping, boat hauling on the weekends.

    New Expedition Owner

I'm a Jeeper, have had them for over 20 years. Always had one. Well I drove the wheels, really, right off the 5.9L.... Yes I miss it already. I just bought an EB '03 Expedition. No time for wrenching on Jeeps anymore, so here I am. This is the only site I'll visit anymore. So, add one more...

    Gone Niner

Vey Good Maximus. No pics yet, but I'll get some. Just your basic 'ol '03 EB Expedition, 5.4L with HD Tow package, white, 4x4 with LS, with running boards and all. Plenty of room now for my new job gear. Really nice shape for the year. I was planning short term with this rig, as I wasn't...

    Gone Niner

Yes, and well.... no time to work on vehicles. New job, two young girls, and a wife. I don't have it in me anymore. I would have kept it, shoot, I was going to stick it in the garage, but the wifey said GONE! And, well, She's put up with a lot of my Jeep habbits for the past 15 years. I've owned...

    Gone Niner

nice expedition! Yes glad I wasn't hurt. Always test drive before I put my family in the vehicle after service work done. Advanced Auto Parts... Chinese bearings... stay away from these. I've used them in the past without trouble, but just not worth it. I pick the Expi up tomorrow. Funny thing...
