Yukon XL (9th Gen) Z71 equivalent?

I'd also go with the 2500. I had a 1996 and loved it. I wouldn't worry to much about the ride, you probably wont notice the difference much. Plus you know you'll overload it with gear sooner or later and the 2500 will come in handy. Also if you ever decide to tow a trailer, the 2500 will be...

    Van vs Truck Camper

Just my 2 cents, I've had a truck/camper combo, never had a van. It is definitely a hard choice between the 2. The van is nice since you don’t have to get out once you park, you just slide on back and sleep or eat and you don’t have to go into the weather. Lots of pluses. The truck is nice since...

    1986 GMC S-15

Is it still going to fit in the garage with the new axles and tires?? Looks like it might be close! Awesome write-up man, I am a hardcore Chevy fan. I had a 01 ZR2 and now drive an 06 Colorado Z71 daily. I just like the smaller Chevy trucks. I've also had a couple square bodies and a...

    2023 GMC Canyon AT4X

I know, I was thinking the same thing. I would go with the trail boss for $39,000. I have 2.5 more years till I turn 50 and I was thinking one of those would make a good present to myself! Still a lot of money but if it makes it 20-25 years, it could be my last truck.

1998 Chevy Tiger 4x4 Camper, single cab, gas, auto, 229,000, $27k Southern Oregon (Craigslist)

I like it, but I am a fan of the GMT-400 platform. I had a 98 2500 Suburban with a 454 and the 4l80e tranny. I think this might be a little underpowered, but I think it would look good with a lift and 33's. It has IFS which is nice for the on road ride, but not the best off road. Should have a...

BuhBye older Delicas…you can’t register them any more in Maine (is this the start of scary and problematic new trend?)

Do you have any info on this? Are you saying you can't buy a new diesel truck in Montana? I found that you can't buy red-dye diesel fuel, but not diesel trucks.

Great White: A Chevy K10 Build

I just read your whole build. The thing dreams are made of. Seriously impressive, you are a very talented man. I used to have an old 77 Chevy 3/4 ton with a pop-up, I've switched to old cadillacs now, but your build makes me miss it dearly. Thank you for sharing, I am definitely subscribed...

    Camper and Truck Photos

Everything that gets set up when you set up camp goes inside the camper down the middle walk way(first out, last in when packing) other stuff I don't use often goes on the sides (in between the camper and the truck bed sides) Hope that helps!

Project “Polar Bear”: 1989 V2500 Suburban

Man Larry, you should get some sort of prize for making all of these first time posters sign up just so they can post on your threads. :) I guess it just goes to show how cool your rigs are and how many people still like older trucks(really I just mean Chevys). Great stuff!

Love your truck Larry, I always follow along the story of another square body. Thanks for all of your knowledge(and testing) you contribute. I have stolen a couple of your tricks for my own truck(bicycle bottle cages as water bottle holders) Have fun on your trip!
