    Locking Air Chuck Recommendations

I have used a few different versions of twist on tire inflation air chucks and highly recommend this design over any of the other clamp on styles i have used. https://a.co/d/1tLHmna

    Post up your drawer/storage system

Very nice!! Almost exactly what I want to do for my JKUR. What aluminum extrusions did you use in your build?

Was this truck parked in Calgary along Na'a Drive SW (east of Canada Olympic Park) a couple of months ago?

E-350 Cutaway with Total Composites Box

This is looking very nice - I'm going to be following this with much interest! So a three point mounting arrangement with a rear pivot point. The rear cross member and bearing / busing must be a monster!

    INEOS Grenadier

So far I have like what I have seen. I had a chance to crawl around under a prototype in Calgary last summer (?). In general I liked what I saw. I also think the midship electronics is a great idea - keeps them away from the heat of the engine bay and any water that finds its way into the engine...

New Camper Build - THE OVERL[h]ANDER

Very nice work on the panels - based on the quality of the design & workmanship I'm guessing you are control system engineer or panel builder.?

    Grand Canyoneering

Looks like I might have to retire earlier than I was planning - the list of places I have to get to keeps getting longer! Thanks for a great trip report - very motivating!

    INEOS Grenadier

Yes I got an email this morning with the following statement: A landmark moment. Another major milestone. And music to all our ears. We’ve started series production of our rugged 4X4. That’s right. Grenadiers are now rolling off the production line at our facility, in Hambach. All thanks to...

    New gaiagps map feature?

There are a number of rules around the number of tiles that you can have grouped as an individual map. The Gaia help files address this pretty well. Also there seems to be some issues / limitations associated with the inclusion of large urban areas in your offline map downloads. This is just a...

Issue with Gaia GPS. Error of 160,000 MapBox Tiles...

Not sure what platform you are on but I've run into a few other map or track related problems with Gaia on the PC based browser app that clearing all of the browser caches cleared up. I'd give that a try they restart your computer and see if that helps.

    Mercedes Overland Building/Tuning

That is very interesting. My layman's understanding of GPS positioning technology is that the calculation of position is based on the signal transit time from multiple satellites to your ground location. The information received includes a timestamp of when it was sent and by looking at the...

    Mercedes Overland Building/Tuning

I have not heard of a GPS booster - not common if they are available at all. I live in the Alberta Rocky Mountain foothills - there is no broadband communication other than satellite where I live. I have been on Starlink for about a year and a half now, starting with the beta release. It is SO...

    Mercedes Overland Building/Tuning

On the navigation front I would strongly recommend that you take a look at Gaia on a tablet with a GPS chipset. GPS functionality is normally part of the package when you purchase a device with cellular and WIFI capability (part of the functionality built into the chipset). After having been a...

2022 RAM 5500 Composite "Super Camper"

Another option is to use a corrosion inhibitor between aluminum rims and steel hubs. I've been doing that for years after learning the hard way. There are probably a number of options out there, I have successfully used Permatex 76764.

How are you planning on covering the hydronic tubing? Are you, or have you considered using a poured product like gypcrete with high thermal transfer?

Gladiator Pop-Up Pass Through Camper Build

I'm not sure what they use but the mattress in my James Baroud RTT is the most comfortable I have come across so far. Even my wife likes it, and she has a hard time finding mattresses that don't bother her hips. We were looking for a bed mattress fairly recently and through the the process...

Why so many negative YouTube videos about RTTs?

I've owned a rooftop tent for about 10 years. Prior to the rooftop tent we had been using mountaineering tents and a short stint in a truck cap 40 years ago. My perspective is it depends on intended use. Great for lightweight travel in relatively dry climates. Not so good in wet or cold climates...

    Land Rover ideas for Jeeps

Well I suppose time will tell if it is an "attempted copy" or an improvement on a time tested classic design. In a couple of years we will all know won't we.
