Tapping the Gas Tank on a RAM HD

Fantastic intel, thanks @K9LTW. I've actually tried to find comparisons between the two and there isn't much out there. I was leaning towards the CU model and come close to pushing the buy button, but couldn't go through with it. Mostly, because I can't decide whether I want to upgrade to 37s...

Tapping the Gas Tank on a RAM HD

@K9LTW Awesome, thanks for the quick reply. Pictures would be great if you have them. As you said, bottom line is that it can be done. On an unrelated note, is that a Chassis Unlimited rear bumper with swingouts? How do you like it? I've been considering one of those if I make the jump to 37s.

Tapping the Gas Tank on a RAM HD

@K9LTW Did you end up figuring out how to tap into your fuel tank? Did you install the heater? Have a gas 2500 and debating an Espar install myself. Curious to know about your results, if there are any.

Energy Efficient food prep: sous vide all in one method.

I recognize that you are preferring the electric kettle method. That being said and for others who come across this thread, there are many who cut into an inexpensive cooler to create an insulated sous vide tank and use the wand. Here is one example...

Can anyone provide Alu-cabin rear door measurements?

Just like it says, I'm looking to understand the height and width of the rear hatch door on the Alu-cabin that is for full size trucks? Anyone have a truck that they can measure and share the dimensions? Thanks.

Just swapped out our Super Pacific X1 for a Tune M1 this week. The space difference is significant. Looking forward to revising our buildout. I'll update my build thread at some point soon, but here's a photo of it on the truck.

Unfortunately, not with the megamat inflated. I’ve fit sleeping bags and small pillows while closed if I deflate the mattress.

SOLD: Super Pacific X1 Camper for Ram 1500/2500 6'4" bed near Boulder, CO

Bump to go with price adjustment. For those considering this topper, the white has been amazing at doing exactly what I wanted it to do, which is keep the heat out. I have a thermometer I've kept in the camper and will typically see only a max 8 degree difference above ambient in bright...

SOLD: Super Pacific X1 Camper for Ram 1500/2500 6'4" bed near Boulder, CO

My understanding is that it is specific to the Ram, which has a tapered truck bed. There are tabs on the camper to keep it aligned within the bed, which I imagine probably won’t align with an F150 bed. That being said, you may want to ask SP if it would work on your truck.
