A little love for the Hi-Lift

Sorry, not even an "overland" story. However, my youngest son recently got his driver's license and we picked up a Ford Focus to keep him out of his mom's Hemi equipped Grand Cherokee and my Chevy 2500HD. Last night he was at a friend's not far down the road. When he didn't arrive home in time...

    Anyone tried RAM Tough Track?

Trying to find a sturdy mount for my cell phone and came across this RAM tough track stuff. RAM bills it as suitable for pretty much any vehicle. It appears the extruded aluminum version gets a lot of play in the marine market. While I'm loathe to drill into my dashboard, it does look like a...

Dominion Stealth Hi-Lift Rack for Jeep Wrangler JK

Jeep JKU Stealth Mount for 48" Hi-Lift Jack. This includes the optional Quick Fist spreader bars to hold a shovel and another tool as well. Works great and keeps your jack clean. Tools are almost invisible from outside, and do not obstruct your vision. No more Jeep, so I don't need it anymore...

    Bundutec Hardside Campers BunduVry?

Very reluctantly I just traded in my JKU on a truck. Went through multiple back surgeries and just driving it around town was too rough. A 3/4 ton IFS Chevy is just enough smoother for me, and is going to be dramatically more comfortable on the washboard FS roads in the area that I frequent...

My supposed to stay stock JKU

So, after years of driving almost nothing but half ton trucks and a brief, but fun, stint with an Xterra, I am now almost two years into driving my 2014 JKU. It is the MOST fun vehicle I have ever owned. When we purchased it, I looked hard at Rubicons but other than the 4.10, there was nothing I...

    Primus Stove Clearance at Walmart

Just a heads up that WM appears to be getting rid of their Primus stoves, at least in my area. I picked up the combo stove/grill for $70 (normally $137) and the two burner stove was available for $45. If you're in the market for a propane stove, that's hard to beat.

    New JK - Duratrac Question

Changing lifestyle (kids unavailable most of summer due to sports) resulted in selling our trailer last week. That made a 3/4 ton diesel superfluous. The wife suggested we replace it with a Rubicon. Oh my! Anyway, as much as I would have loved to indulge her and myself, it didn't make economic...

    Found a Gemtop Topper...

in the Denver area for very little money ($275 obo). Took my new Dodge 2500 shortbed over and it was close but no cigar. It came off of an older Dodge but I'm not sure what it was originally made for other than some variant of full-sized short bed. Looked like a heck of topper for the money with...
