Wood stove in back of pickup?

yeah...the more I think about it the more of a pain it sounds like. My biggest concerns are catching my sleeping bag on fire or at least putting little fire holes in it, smoky interior, melting my cap, screwing around with fuel all night and then what happens when I want to leave and its still...

    Favorite car camping sleeping bag

Ok....what is your favorite bag you don't have to worry about carrying? Mine is that -35 or -40 monster XXL canvas rectangular one you get at Bass Pro or Sportsmans warehouse. They are dirt cheap at ~$150. In the summer I sleep in top of it with a lightweight bag or quilt and it's like a...

Wood stove in back of pickup?

Has anyone tried a wood stove in the back of a pickup with a topper on it? I have an ARE MX. I was thinking I could put one on the shelf, add a hole for the chimney, ensure it is heat shielded so it doesn’t melt the top and have some sort of spark mat. Anyone go this route?

    Post build ..uh.. build thread.

Love it. Someone just needs to make your west pop top on a regular topper....for about $2500. I like the flip pacs and all but there is just too much fabric and simpler really is better Great rig

Let's see some lifted, crew cab ram 2500 with camper shells

Let's see some lifted, crew cab ram 2500 with camper shells

Great looking rigs....all. I pulled the trigger on an ARE V series with the required options (Carpet liner, Win-doors, dual rope light and sliding front window). I went with the cab high for a few reasons 1) The mileage on the power wagons is already less than awesome. 2) The MX...

Let's see some lifted, crew cab ram 2500 with camper shells

After 6 great years, 105k miles and too many nights to count in the mountains sleeping in the bed of my 09 Ram 1500, I traded it in on a sweet 2013 Power Wagon with 28k miles. Could not be happier. First order of business is a topper shell for the bed. I had a regular height one on my...

    Skiers Lodge - Build Thread

Great build and adventures. I am a huge fan of truck camping and probably spend 20 nights a year in the back of mine with a regular topper n it. Where in Sweden are you? I lived there for 2 years about 20 yrs ago. Good times. If you ever come out to Colorado let us know.
