    Transamerica and such

Did the TAT with our JKUR in 2018 when we were also 63. I doubt any two TAT runs are exactly alike but we didn't run across anything we couldn't do with the Jeep.

I went standard white/black with my J30 because I didn't think all orange would look good but that's super sharp!!

Chris had a family emergency back east and took a few weeks away. I think he is planning a new video for this coming weekend. In good news he has Orangie back running great but a filthy mess from sitting in the PNW for 6 months.

I'll have to give this a try. On my old Sportsmobile top the elastic around the canvas had inward pull so you never had to think about it when pulling the top down. Always wished to have something similar on the J30 but wasn't sure how to accomplish it without blocking the opening. Very clever!

This is exactly what I do. Stock mattress, bottom sheet, sleeping bag that I spread as this as possible for closing, 3 flatish pillows that I line down the center, and vent the windows. At least a couple hundred nights sleeping in it and have never had the slightest problem with getting canvas...

We use our Rubicon in much the same way you're asking and drove it basically stock across the TransAmerica trail in 2018. All our mods back then related to camping, recovery, or quality of life. The best things we added were a Dometic Fridge (game changer for camping), 2nd battery w/solar...

Small world, I was in the Badlands area 2 weeks ago and the J30 always gets conversations going.

HELP! New Jeep build out for TAT.

Did the TAT in 2018 with a stock 2015 JKUR, no problems. I had a winch that I did use for moving a tree but never for recovery.

Well it isn't a huge corporation with dozens of people answering phones, it's a family business. From my experience it's often just one person and if he's talking on the phone then someone's top isn't getting worked on. Back when I got mine I had the best luck calling around the time they...

We wanted to do some winter camping so I got one of those Chinese diesel heaters and made a quick & dirty box so we could take it out for a test. I had about a half gallon of fuel in the tank and that lasted a full 16 hours before running out. Temp only got down to around 30 so it wasn't a...

I have an aftermarket soft top that I put on for the drive out and was able to put the seats down and store it for the drive home. Sold my hard top on CL at home. One thing I didn't think about ahead of time was CA sales tax on the purchase so it was several hundred $ more than I was...

I'm in Michigan and drove out to San Diego to get mine a couple years ago. The install only took about half a day and we had a good time camping our way back home.

That is now the definitive review of the Ursa Minor. Between you and Venture4wd it's a great testament to the durability of the tops. On top of that you've both rolled them on the side with nary a scratch. :ROFLMAO:

    High Mileage Pentastar JKs?

2015 JKUR with 145,000 miles. Replaced radiator under warranty very early on and had an ignition coil go bad but that was a simple diy diagnose and replace.

    High Mileage Pentastar JKs?

Just passed 140k on my 2015 JKUR this weekend. Had radiator replaced in the first year but that's the only repair that's ever been done on it. Still mostly stock, run synthetic 5w20 and change every 5k. Maybe I should be knocking on wood but so far so good. The vast majority of my miles are...
