The 1997 TJ is still in the fleet, but now it just gets to do mostly wheeling duty. The 725 is off play shop truck at Jeep Recyclers in Pittsburg (if you need FSJ bits look Adam over there up).
So we've added a JT diesel to the mix in the hopes of getting back to some middle of nowhere camping...

Somewhat older pic, I'll get some new ones when I get over to storage.
1992 M101 trailer, built for the tough demands of the Canadian Army :).
Its been my 'pickup' for a good 10...
Searched back a few pages and didn't see anything.
There's a few bills on Browns desk currently waiting to be signed that might give some here some grief. One of those being SB-374. While many might not care that this is mostly directed @ the AKs and ARs of the world it also snags a good number...
All of this fun water in CO got me thinking maybe.. maybe I should actually finish the snorkel plumbing.
I'm no longer subject to CARB (happydance).
The Jeep has had a turbo-city tube on it for ages, with a spun aluminum thing over the filter that I was planning on plumbing to the snorkel...
I've been hunting around the FCC site to try and figure this out. I appear to have successfully changed my address, but I've moved far enough that I should have a new region digit (have a 6, need a 0).
Anyone know what that takes, or if it will be done from the address change?
Thanks
Jason...
Ok, I'm a bit new to this. The laws are numerous, conflicting, confusing, and kinda hard to find all of them.. but it seems like the safest way to transport the scary black thing is locked in its case, locked in a trunk, with the ammo separate.
This isn't all that hard to do in the E30, but...
Checking to make sure I'm not 'doing it wrong', though I've done it a bunch of times successfully.
Last month I was running a mix of fast and heavy sweep for the North Nevada Rally in my TJ. In the heat, it was a lot of work/driving for the nearly 16 year old Jeep. (It actually killed a coil...
My M725 is finally getting some love after the cross country shipment. New tires shortly and conversion to tow rig duty for the in-progress rally car build.
Looking for some interior lighting ideas. Thinking some sort of LED strip up in the 'forehead' or down on the floor as a dome light. Need...
I managed to snag a complete JK AiRock kit to use on another project. I need the York, but.. well I don't have a JK anymore.
I have this bracket still attached to the compressor...

Came across that looking for something else, didn't know if anyone had seen it before. Sure beats the converted mini-vans I see everywhere for this.
The guy could use some help as well so if anyone has any ideas...

or one of its cousins is the goal. In my 725 build I'm not going to have much room for inside cooking and cleaning.
I've found a few places that sell these down under, but haven't found US distributor...
I stumbled across this looking for how to power my work macbook from the truck without running the inverter..

Hope its not a repost. Looks darn easy to make.. and I already have another magsafe adapter that the dog cut in 2.. :)
Finished up the 4.88s a day or too ago. Was right on the edge of a D44 spec for preload on the pinion and put it together.
Well. It appears my electric impact isn't strong enough to properly use for preload measurement. After torquing down to 180 I'm guessing it was too much.
So, out on the...
Looking for a little box I can throw one of my SIM cards in to use as an access point in the truck when traveling.
I've seen a few that take USB sticks, that might be able to work, but I'd really like something a little more self contained, and possibly the ability to put external antennas on...
The AEV rocker gaurds on my TJ are about done. 8-9 years of north east winters on them have done them in. Even after a complete strip and POR15ing. They are the version before they started e-coating them in house though.. so I doubt the new ones will see these issues.
If I'm going to replace...

This is an older project (from back in MD) but I just finally stumbled across the pictures.
I really like playing with AiRock and doing things a little different, so we figured we'd link my buddy's XJ and put 6" Firestone airbags on it.
So we...

Its a small pile, but a good pile
Rubi D44 4.88s + setup kit
Ford 8.8 4.88s + setup kit
Eaton E-locker for the 8.8
Going from 4.10s to 4.88s starting this weekend. 4.10s used to work ok with 33s/35s back when I lived on mostly flat ground on the east coast. They've been less fun out...
Its not like I don't have enough projects on the brain. I've got my WRX that needs its 100k maint (fuel rails, filter, timing belt, water pump, struts/coil overs, and a new tune) and the Jeep needs 4.88s and a rear locker.
Then some dude has to post up a photo of a 4x4 chinook
And that gets...
I searched around for a bit, but didn't see any threads on this.
How do you guys mount your fridges on these trailers? I need to get my edgestar mounted in a month or so.
I'm mostly worried about keeping it dry and not throwing the tongue weight of the trailer off too bad.
