I'm really interested in that front-mounted winch. Do you happen to have any photos or more info about mounting the hitch behind the bumper like that?

First Foray into 4Runners - My 1st Gen Build

Just went through the full thread. Great progress. I definitely laughed at the cupholder/drinkholder ziptie mod. I've got a soft spot for 1st gens. I'm thinking one will be my next project.

Who overlands for the purpose of photography?

It's my primary reason. Typically to get myself into some pretty remote places and capture images other haven't. That said, I don't "push it" too much from an overland perspective. Mostly just short trips to specific locations.

First gen Tundra vs. 2nd/3rd gen 4runner

Hey all, After having my Tundra about a year and a half I am considering selling. It's a fantastic truck, but it has a few faults. It's an access cab, I can't stand the half doors and terrible rear seat. The driver seat is uncomfortable, it's terrible on gas, and itis generally just a very...

Hey Aaron. I'm pretty sure I am, think I've posted too. If I remember correctly there was never much activity over there. When is the next meet? I'm happy to be there if I'm not traveling.

Very slow and mild 04 Tundra DC build!!

I've been looking at the rear lights options as well. Not a ton that I like for the Tundra. Do you have any photos of what they look like on? Curious to see what they look like when you're reversing through the cab and canopy. I've been trying to come up with a way to inlay some lights into...

    Long term durability

I'm not sure about the newer Tacomas, but My old one (95) was very reliable. Just do your basic maintenance and don't mess with the engine, and it'll run forever. If you do bigger wheels and tires though, do gears. They are well worth the money. My old 2.7l could do 65 all day long while pulling...

Thanks, I've got more painting to do. All the chrome will be gone, and I'm thinking of doing like guys are with the newer Tacomas and painting the grill surround black as well.
