Love this! I currently have a 1977 Chinook in it's original 2wd form and I think I'm going to start the process of finding a donor 4x4 and swap the camper over.

Considering a RTT. Would a 3 person tent for 2 people end up being too much weight for a Leer canopy? I purchased it used so I'm not 100% sure on the model or how much weight it can handle.

Wow! No leaks? Oddly enough I also like the original look, but that orange carpet has to go. Probably swap it out for laminate or something that is easier to keep clean.

Subscribed! I'm also in the process of swapping my camper shell onto a 4wd body. I haven't decided on which gen I will go with but reading build thread like this are a huge help. Did yours start as a 2wd camper or did you purchase it installed on a newer 4wd chassis?

Subscribed! How did you remove the camper from the truck body? I'm doing something similar but I don't have access to a tractor, forklift, etc. This will need to be done in my two car garage. Did you lift the entire camper, and lower the truck portion?
