    M422A1 Mighty Mite diesel build

Beautiful workmanship! Seems like a good NA alternative to a Haflinger.

New to site - 813 6X6 truck is now motorhome RV expedition vehicle

Beautiful truck! I like the added artistic touch of the cowboy/elk scene. Do you use the winch for recovering large game? What year/make is the camper?

Tilley hat is the only hat you will ever need! It even comes with flattering jokes!

Do you feel the need to have a weapon when camping

I always have my Benelli Super Black Eagle 2 12 ga. with 4x1.25 ounce slugs. I only go camping when I'm hunting; where I hunt I've met face to face with wolves, cougars, lynx, black bears and grizzlies... Wherever there are lot of predators there is lots of prey! Eating elk jerky as I'm typing...

    Knife thread

Exceptional work Peter! I haven't seen any Cold Steel knives except for one in Peters' posts. My main camp/hunting knife would be a San Mai III Cold Steel Trailmaster. Well worth the money. Last year I bought a Gransfors Brüks Hunters Axe which is an exceptional skinning tool. Can limb a tree...

It was a pleasure coming out to check out a great rig! Especially since one of the recoveries was me, lol. The winch is huge, the cable spool seems to be 2 feet in diameter! The truck is pretty much flawless.

Mike, thank you for another batch of info. I'm always in favor of a vehicle that was designed by a large team of engineers and built at a German factory rather than something put together from a variety of pieces in a local shop. Trev, that's a very nice truck that you have! The camper...

Thank you for the info Mike! I was planning on increasing tire size in order to achieve the desired 10km/h increase (with safety in mind, naturally). Thank you for posting the link to the MOG for sale, definitely a worthwhile consideration.

Hey Overland Hadley. I'm looking for a place that can look after the mechanical part of the build as good as the German's would. I don't really have a need for a camper. I use a 10 person outfitter tent with a wood fired stove as my "camper". My main concern is that the truck can keep up with...

    North American unimog specialists

Hey there! I'm wondering if anyone has had personal experience custom building a Unimog in North America? I'd like to keep it within 150k budget, and ensure that I can find all the necessary replacement parts locally. I live around Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. My main concern is that once a German...
