Everything is buttoned up and ready for install tomorrow! Really happy with how the welds turned out. Penetration was perfect. 20170808_215947 by Greg Hawel Here's a comparison between the two. 20170808_221026 by Greg Hawel Hopefully I'm back on the road tomorrow!

Yeah Photobucket just dropped a giant ******* you bomb on everybody. I have countless DIY threads on forums for people to follow on how to do certain things that are now useless because all the picture links are broken. Anyways, I'll do my best to replace all these photos eventually. But it's...

    RTT bed quality?

Most come with a 3" foam mattress. Almost every single one I've seen has room for pillows and bedding while still being to fold up so another topper would easily fit. BUT, I don't think an extra topper AND pillows and bedding will fit. If you're a side sleeper I would recommend an extra...

    VW Golf Sportwagen Alltrack

Only 0.6" more ground clearance than a standard golf? That's not even enough to make it usable in the winter. Can't stand when automotive companies make what could be a really cool car segment and then half-*** it so badly. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

    I just bought an SX4

Even worse when you're fully loaded up and towing. I think a cars fuel tank is large enough when fill-ups coincide with bathroom/food breaks. SX4 needs to stop loooooong before you do. I carry 20L of extra fuel when travelling with my trailer. It's saved my butt between remote gas stations...

The SX4 will tow it no problem! I've had my trailer loaded up to well over 1000# and as long as you load it with proper tongue weight to stop the tongue from pulling up over bumps, you won't even know it's back there. You will however notice it on the highway when you get to some inclines...

Canadian East Coast - 3 weeks and +10,000km!

Oh I agree. There are still plenty of things within the interior I wanted to hit but didn't have time. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

So beautiful we're going back again in October! This time just for golf though, no exploring. Haha on the subie remark. I hang out with just about all subaru drivers. They've adopted me into their local car scene since a Suzuki scene is non-existent. I'm just so used to chirping them that it...

My latest adventure! Canada's East Coast. 3 weeks and more than 10,000km. This was definitely the most I've ever asked of the SX4 in terms of towing. Zero complaints, she just asked for more. What a little tank this thing is! Amazingly after 10,000km and hours and hours worth of WOT climbing...

Canadian East Coast - 3 weeks and +10,000km!

We arrived in Newfoundland at 7am and drove off the boat into the classic Newfoundland fog. So foggy, in fact, that you couldn't even read street signs until you were basically underneath them. Luckily, there was the all holy beacon shining brightly through the fog - a Tim Horton's sign...

Canadian East Coast - 3 weeks and +10,000km!

Last summer we did the West Coast, so naturally we did the East Coast this summer! Over 10,000km covered (not including ferries). We hit all of the classic stops as well as a few I was told about by locals. I wasn't expecting this trip to even come close to the West Coast (lets be honest, the...

These wheels are 15x6.5 ET38. Zero rubbing with 215/75/15. I ran these same wheels with 20mm spacers in the front and 30mm in the back. The front rubbed a bit at full lock and the back would only just touch the fenders over big bumps with a heavy load in the back. I think a happy medium with...

No I haven't had the stock 16's since the car had less than 10,000km on it. I switched to 15's almost right away. Better performance, better ride quality, cheaper tires, and more choices. Lots of choices out there in the 5x114.3 bolt pattern though, you'll just have to get a cheap set of...

She's back in with no balancing needed! Hopefully good for another 120,000km. One more oil change before we go and she'll be ready for the trip. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

Getting caught up on some much needed maintenance leading up to our East coast trip. Was getting a really bad vibration through entire vehicle from 40-50km/h that was progressively getting worse. Turns out my front u-joint on my driveshaft was completely seized and the rear one was extremely bad...

BEHOLD: The Teal Terror, aka, Project 1995 Suzuki Sidekick

Haha, love the name. Love the truck more! Take care of it, they're starting to be real hard to find up in Canada. Few years ago I felt bad for wheeling my SX4 so hard so I tried to find a sidekick or an old vitara. I quickly gave up as everything I found that was reasonably priced needed frame...

Have subarus gotten better on sand?

Wouldn't exactly call modern subaru's lightweights. Base model outback is 3700#'s. Add gear a couple people and you're well over 4200. I've also heard from a lot of people the new subaru's are quite annoying in zero grip situations. For instance, stuck in snow on hard pack. The TC isn't...

    So....what's so wrong with halogens?

For me the big argument for LED was power consumption. I started with four 55w halogens and I had very bad dimming at idle. Probably not a problem for people with larger engines and larger alternators but people running smaller 4cyl with small alternators this is a major problem. Another plus...
