    2014 Chevy 1500 AWD - Family Road-Camp-Havoc-Mobile

see post #19 in this thread. It shows the cut/modified rugged ridge (jeep jk) dual battery tray. I had to make 3 additional brackets to set the tray onto. I didn't document it very well, but I might have some photos I can find to post up? I also built a rear storage/shelving behind the 2 stock...

Pics of your VAN! Post up!

LT245/75 R17 K02's. This is my second set of these same tires. I like em. I had a set of Toyo M55's, but I think they were a bit too heavy for this drivetrain. They lasted a lot longer than the K02 though.

    2014 Chevy 1500 AWD - Family Road-Camp-Havoc-Mobile

I still need to tidy of the final finish wiring, but it fully functional. theres 3 custom brackets underneath a chopped up rugged ridge dual battery tray. It came out solid. i need to figure out the best place to penetrate wiring through the firewall so I can mount the dual battery monitor...

FOR SALE 2011 AWD Chevy Express - SB Pop-Top

Great looking van. I have the similar window version of this same AWD van. have a similar lift too. It drives great. whoever get this will be stoked. I rarely see any modern era chevy/gmc's with pop roofs. I wish we had pop top. since we have rear A/C, we would have to delete it, and rear air...

    EVERY Jeep at SEMA 2016

I have never have personally been to sema, but this year seems to have a lot less practical application type stuff. It looks like they all went back in time to 1988 when everyone had lowered mini trucks, and borrowed from that style. I literally puked in my mouth looking at many of those, and...

GM fullsize AWD Van Info thread

Wow, thats a crazy conversion. Very cool. Must have cost a fortune. I saw some good deals on brand new 4x4 kodiaks with the pre-DPF duramax back a few years ago. Like cheaper than a normal full size duramax truck. But they are just too big.

    2014 Chevy 1500 AWD - Family Road-Camp-Havoc-Mobile

Before I did any actual custom brackets onto the tray I modified, I realized the batteries sat about 1/4 - 1/2" too low, as the tray was slightly resting on a small radiator return line. The line has some give, but I determined it was NOT worth the risk. But the pair of batteries do fit very...

they fit. solid. Need to wire it all up. then begin adding circuits for fridge outlet, front driving lights, 12v-120V inverter, ham radio, air compressor, etc.

    2014 Chevy 1500 AWD - Family Road-Camp-Havoc-Mobile

the sway bar is a great addition for the road. The van is closer to a giant WRX now. I believe it has a similar front-to-rear power distribution as a WRX. The van actually feels slightly more powerful with the new stability. The over steer is a lot more controlled. It'll be real fun when I...

Dual Battery KIT just need to fabricate a couple brackets to weld onto the tray for securing inside the engine compartment. This was a rugged ridge tray originally designed for a jeep JK. I cut off a couple parts to simplify it for easy fitting into the van engine compartment. National Luna...

Rear Sway Bar Installed got the first memorial day weekend project under my belt. Now for a test drive to see if it actually does anything besides limit my articulation. the bar is a Hellwig for 2500/3500 2WD. Boulder Off Road fabricates an end link bracket assembly to make it functional...

10' awning mounted installed the fiamma f45 s awning. 10' long, 8' roll out. had to get a middle rack for a center support. after trimming the tops off the stock rack ends, I welded on a couple pieces each of square tube steel. drilled holes through the tube steel sections to mount the...

    Chevy Express Windows

aftermarket windows can be more functional. the only windows that can be opened in a factory van are the rear doors and the first two small windows behind the front seat. all of them ONLY vent open a couple inches. Not even enough to stick your hand out the window. you could barely throw a...
