Gen 2 rear Locker ECU part number or pic of location?

You can operate the air compressor for the locker totally independently, it just needs 12v across it. I've mine wired to a switch on the dash, allows it to work in 2wd and 4h as well Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk

Pajero 2.8 Turbo Diesel with 5speed conversion kit

That looks like the vacuum pump is on it, is the guy mounted just to the left of the power steering pump, I'm not sure why there was a different one being used. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk

Can anyone school me in the 4m40 automatic?

Yes the 2.8 and 2.5 have different bellhousings, and they're physically bigger on the 2.8. There's a small bit of a computer controlling the auto box on a 2.8, I think it's up in the fuse box area. I have one that I can check for you if you want Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk

95 sr cv axle replacement help

When I do it, I disconnect the tie rod first, top ball joint, then the bottom ball joint, and then I put the whole hub up on top of the top wishbone, and tie it there so it doest move. It doesn't take long to break a ball joint loose, and give you a lot of space to work Also, have a lot of old...

    Brush Guard

They're nearly all found on the Japanese versions, a lot of the European ones came with black bumper centres, whereas the Japanese ones came with chrome ones, those little A bars bolt up through the bumper and aren't part of it at all Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk

Seeking Help With Dead JDM V5MT1 Mystery

It was a 93 I think, box would get noisy, then eventually every gear in it would be a neutral [emoji3] the rear axle also snapped on that one, which was fixed in later models, they would break on the weld where the shafts meet the diff Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk

Seeking Help With Dead JDM V5MT1 Mystery

Those gearboxes on the 2.5 diesels are quite soft, and it's probably the reason a lot of them were scrapped. A friend of mine blew up 3 of them over 4 years. Europe is probably your best bet, they were I. The pajero sport, l200 and pajero 2.5 diesel all had them Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003...

    Post your Mitsubishi Pajero Pics

Done a bit of tidying to my own, and I'm just finished building the 3fd iteration of my rear storage system. Also carpeted the interior plastics. I'm going to put another USB charger + accessory socket, and a small inverter into the gaps on the sides of the drawers. No more body lift either...

    Creaking From Front Suspension

When mine was creaking it turned out to be a ball joint was worn out, but as said above, It could also be the torsion bars, so have a poke around under it to be sure. Either way it's not going to be an expensive fix Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk

    4d56 injection pump shut off

If it is the front seal on the pump you wouldn't see that there is a leak, it would just stall after a few mins of running. Does it run alright when you run it out of a drum of diesel? I doubt it is a fuel pressure issue, because you don't have a lift pump in the tank, the Injector pump sucks...

    4d56 injection pump shut off

Unlikely to be the shutoff solenoid, if it runs for a while, turns off, then will run for the rest of the day fine, it is probably the seal on the injector pump behind the gear on the front. I would also check the fuel lines for pinholes, where it could be drawing in air, and the fuel filter...

    '92 SWB Pajero the RALLI////TRACTOR

Mine was doing the clicks while articulating, it was the bolt holes in the rear axle for the radius arms had gone a bit oval and it was moving. The swbs also have a rzeppa joint in the rear prop so it may be worth looking to see is that worn out I like the look of the swbs without the arch...

Judging interest for group buy 4D56T (Hyundai D4BF)

Have you a sticking caliper? Maybe try blanking off your egr valve, it can stuck open a wee bit and make them run a little ropey Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk

    The old 1999 build thread

That bumper is gorgeous, it is giving me ideas for mine now. You could go for the Japanese tails too, they've everything in them as they have no low mounted bumper lights Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk

Judging interest for group buy 4D56T (Hyundai D4BF)

I'd be sceptical about the block being cracked, the mitsu diesels have pretty soft heads, which nearly always crack at the first sign of overheating. Somebody may have been stubborn enough to drive it with the cracked head for a while just to limp it home and roasted the engine, but usually...

    Mitsubishi Pajero

I've a diesel jdm one, in a country where they were sold natively, and it is getting hard to get parts for it. Buying parts for it in a country where it is completely alien will be a PITA. The diesels are good for towing, but the petrol V6 is a far better machine for cruising Sent from my...

Gen 2 SWB Pajero VS LWB Montero Shocks

I got around 2.5 inches, I put in LWB heavy duty springs, so they're a bit firmer, and it seems to work quite well, I have a set of drawers in the back, and often carry heavy music equipment in it, and it doesn't drop down much. Can always adjust the torsion bars to compensate for the amount of...

Gen 2 SWB Pajero VS LWB Montero Shocks

It gets a bit bumper with the LWB springs, but nothing too bad. I had the iron-man shocks in my swb, and they were far too under damped, I didn't like the feel of them at all, so I put in some Monroe cheap ones for a while to keep me going for the time being. Thinking I'll go KYB next. I...

    4D56T Injection pump problem

Did you pop the cable off the arm that actuates the throttle on the pump? Some of these have a hand throttle that people think is a choke lever and pull it out. Other things I can think of is the cold start device on the side of the pump, but I don't see it being an issue in the states where it...
