I used that exact same winch once...it ended up failing and wouldn't release...had me in a very difficult situation after the rear of my car fell into a hole. Biggest piece of **** ever.

The Forester here in Australia has hi/lo but the low range isn't really low. It's still just as crap.

I think those two videos actually show the major downfall of the Forester. No power. No Torque. No traction. Terrible offroad gearing. ...and yes, I own one...and yes I've done a terrible amount of hard offroading around Australia in it. Don't get me wrong, they're great for what they are...

haha, that's the Quobba Coast in North West Australia The number 1 fishing and surfing spot in the country that few people make it to...and it's on the south tip of the Ningaloo Reef, one of the greatest and msot beautiful coral reefs on the planet :wings: We make the trip every year :D

Our 1991 Hilux Surf/4Runner on our trip last year. Car is dead now. Engine ate itself. Looking at building an 87 4Runner that is available to me for free.

You know what would be really awesome? If you actually made an effort and gave us some info...you know, like, what the vehicle is. That could be a good start.
