Upper Coyote Canyon/Bailey's Cabin/Toro Peak Run.....

Thanks SWR and Rally Roo for the comments. I'll use it as inspiration for a new avatar. I love the pix so far. I post up a few more of my own. Looking down the steep grade. Notice the narrow track below for judging distance.

Upper Coyote Canyon/Bailey's Cabin/Toro Peak Run.....

More Bailey's Cabin/ Toro Peak pix I bagged this geocache walking up the hill while the group waited for the narrow Turkey grade to clear. I remembered the location from google earth and was able to locate it without a GPS! SWR provided a ride up to the top because Justin had already passed.

Upper Coyote Canyon/Bailey's Cabin/Toro Peak Run.....

I'm joining the trip as a ride-along with my brother, Gear. The upper part of Coyote Canyon is new for me and I'm excited about the Turkey Grade switchbacks to get down to valley floor where the Cabin is. I read about Turkey Grade on Dirtopia, where I also found a .kmz file for the trail on...

Exp. Trophy 08 - overland route

The next morning I took a sun-rise hike up the trail. Justin removed all traces of the fire ring in the photo. Kofa was a simply amazing place. I would love to go back with more time to explore. I read up on Kofa after getting home and was surprised that it's about 40 miles by 25 miles in...

Exp. Trophy 08 - overland route

What an evening! We had tequila, music, peasant pancakes and a slide show all surrounded by beautiful scenery and a warm breeze. Chris was able to log on and start this thread; I guess we weren't as remote as it felt. Cool. And some others managed to go for a night hike up through a slot canyon.

    Dos Cabezas - Anza Borrego

Cool Thread. Jerry gets some points for helping tow a broken down rig. I don't think the Tread Lightly handbook covers how to wake your sleeping neighboors so they can clear the road. (How many people would have just driven around?) Great job. I also dig the ham radio part. I'd like to try...
