    Portable Base HF Antenna

Check out Chameleon Antennas (http://chameleonantenna.com/). Many people like their Hybrid series. There are many ways to configure them. I have an old V1, the Hybrid mini, and a Mil-Whip. It meets my requirements of easy setup, small size when broken down, wide band matching, and low hassle...

    Rear leaf spring advice needed

My 2008 truck is similarly loaded as yours; crewcab, short bed, topper, and ~80lbs of stuff in the back. I initially went with a PRG 2" lift; space and add-a-leaf because it was inexpensive and met my needs at the time. I don't think the AAL added any load capacity to the stock leaf packs. I...

    Supported EOSS this past weekend

That is great! I seem to remember reading somewhere that the STEM school also has a good amateur radio club! What great way to demonstrate one of the ways ham radio is still very fun and useful.

    Filson Jackets input.

I'm a little late to the party to give feed back to Capt Eddie on his purchase, but maybe future thread readers will find this useful... I have the Tin Cloth Field Jacket and the full sleeve zip-in Mackinaw Wool Jacket. I purchased the field jacket because I wanted a durable coat for working...

Will this topper fit a 2013 Frontier??

I am not a full expert on the subtle model changes on the Frontiers, but 2005 - 2013 (and possibly the 2014) Frontiers are all known as Gen2 Frontier. It definitely looks like the truck in the picture is a Gen2 Frontier, so that topper should fit fine on your 2013 CC.

    What's your MPG?

08 Frontier, ~2" lift, topper, full skids, 255/85-R16 KM2's and I get about 16.0 mpg over the past 5K miles. That includes city, highway, and trail.

One piece rear driveshaft conversion for a 00' Frontier

Hi Gypsy88. Wish I had useful knowledge or information for you, but I don't. There are people at RoninWheelers (http://www.roninwheelers.com/vbulletin/index.php) that have done extensive modifications of Nissan's, and they might be able to give you good feedback.

How Many Use FRS/GMRS Hand Helds

I carry FRS/GRMS, CB, and have a mobile 2m/70cm unit. I camp with some people that only have FRS/GRMS. Local 4x4 groups seem to favor CB, so I have a handheld CB. Gotta be flexible. :)

Sell my on a frontier or tacoma.

I have a 2008 Frontier Crewcab Nismo with ~60K miles on it, but I have never had a Tacoma. Both are good trucks. It is very common for people to compare/contrast the Tacoma and Frontier when looking for a truck in that size. I chose the Frontier due to: 1 - cost - less than Tacoma with...
