Drill a couple of holes in the hinge and spray with Blaster PB Penetrant that will free up the hinge pins then spray with any lubricant. I fixed many a barn doors this way. You just need to keep them lubed after that...

    Savana/ Express Van Builds

Hello Hobbs67, I'd like to see some Pics of your van? I'm starting a new build next month with a 2010 GMC AWD Savana and would like to go with a larger tire than the 265/75R-16 with the 2.5" Maxx torsion Key lift I currently have. I agree offset is the deciding factor and I have long...

I got these from Van Tech, super nice racks for the money. I think they are rated for 750lbs for all three, great if you ever need it.... They also fit all Thule and Yakima Aero bar accessories. http://vantech.us/H3-Rack-3-Bar-System-for-a-Chevy-Express-1996-On-H3218W.htm Trim molding is...

Ah, The Frt. Hitch a must have for me. Well no one makes one for the Chevy AWD Van, It's most likely a clearance issue the vans are just to low to the ground to make them work well and I would not recommend it unless the van is lifted at least 3". I have on one occasion hit the hitch into the...

265/75R 16 are the largest I've seen on a non-lifted Savana/Express van, they are a tight fit but work without rubbing. The extra lift just helps with low undercarriage clearance that can be a problem with any light duty off road driving. I'm pretty sure the 285'S won't fit, that's a 33"...

Looks Sweet..... What rear blocks did you use? 2". The 275/16r look real nice, do they rub or did you do a little trimming? Some current modes for me have been Stereo,Speakers and "Fatmat" sound deadener so the doors don't sound like tin cans when you shut them, keeps road noise out and...

I had a local shop install my MaxxCam2 leveling keys, the tool for the job was $150 I think to buy? and he charged me $200 for the key install and it took him most of the afternoon, well worth it...... I think I would hold off on the 2" rear blocks if I did it over again and see how it looks...

Hey Jeff, Most stereo shops around Portland install door locks and power windows. I've had quotes as high as $1,500 Van Specialties in Portland, Car Toyzs $1,200 and a local shop in Hood River quote me $900 parts & labor, that's for 2 Pwr Windows and 4 door locks with remote transmitter. Both...

Well I had the Suspension Maxx torsion keys installed and I installed new skyjacker shocks and 2" rear blocks. I also added the Roadmaster Active Suspension to help with loads and stability. The rear of the van run's a bit high and that might be the addition of the Roadmaster system, so I have...
