    2001 Tundra Suspension Input Requested

265/70 is only an inch up from stock isnt it? I have them on my 2006 dc with no lift and have zero issues, i believe the dcs have larger front wheel wells though. Unless your going to offroad a lot I'd start with smaller then move up if necessary. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    Aggrocrag's 2011(Now 2014) Pro-4x

Its your truck but if it were mine I'd lay some weld in-between the bracket halves to be safe. Looks like you can do the sides and the top part by the bolt which would add a good amount of structure. Definitely leave the bolt in there though.

    Green 05-06 DC Tundra Limited?

Took me 5 months to find my 06 DC at a decent price but it was worth it. Also got lucky since seller was interested in a cash no BS buyer. Def watch out for frame rust. Imo its well worth going with a 05-06 for the 5 spd. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

Can't wait to see the bumper installed! I used to work at a powder coater in college. I would ask to see some other bumpers they've done. Prep and (from what i remeber with fabricated steel stuff) baking out the oils will be key. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    Thinking about a Sequoia

I run metric 32s on stock suspension with 136k miles and dont have rubbing issues. Not sure if the DC Tundra and Sequoia have the same front end though...? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

Makes sense on the clogged breather. Are you planning on cutting the nipple down? Just wondering how you can get to it w/ a hose clamp without being able to tape it. Although I do agree that hose clamp/tubing is a way better long term deal. No matter what way you look at it seems like its...

    1st gen Tundra, wheels, suspension

Just to throw in my 1.5 cents. I'm still on the OE suspension on mine but it has 136k+ miles so will need to replaced soon. Although we don't do anything extreme I'm thinking about upgrading instead of new OE stuff. I had 5100s on my 4Runner, they worked but were a little stiff on the road...

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

Sound like the metal tube presses into another tube? If so, I don't think I would touch it without having the diff removed. Looks like you have zero room to get anything back in. This isn't ideal but since the vent is under little to no pressure have you thought about cleaning around the leak...

    Our DIY Hilux camper build

Building the floor inside!? That is awesome. Makes me feel better about my "small" 2 car garage turned into a shop. My wife would kill me if I tried doing something like that. Build so far looks very clean and well thought out so far, great job!

    2006 Tundra DC Build

How wide are your wheels? I'm looking at getting a set of 17x8.5 but am worried the tire will look "stretched" with 265/70/17s.

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

Thanks for the review. Great timing too because I just bought a set of 265/70/17 D rated KO2s an hour ago. Went a little smaller and D because 99% of my driving is on road. Current tires are shot and need to be able to use truck for the passes/going snow showing so these should work out well...

3rd gen 4Runner potential buyer. Advice needed

My 3rd gen had low miles so had no ticks but from what I remember the valves weren't easily adjustable like a Honda. Seems like more than an "easy fix". People tend to not treat them well (not change the oil) because "it's a toyota" which i thinks causes a lot of the valve train noise on the...

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

What offset are your wheels? Looking at buying the same ones but in 17s. Was going to upsize tires one size and hoped to do it without lift... Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    Best 1st Gen Tundra's

The 5 speed is serviceable its just harder. The 05-06 also have more power/TQ. I bought one last year and only looked at 05-06s, mainly because of the 5spd.
