    1988 Chevrolet Suburban V20 build

nice!!! I may have to try this idea one of these days! On a diffrent suburban then the one i have tho since im working on other plans for it still haha. @Outback, wish I woulda known you were looking, had a buddy who sold his 89 factory black, minimul rust, 6 inch lifted with brand new 35 inch...

So, I really like burbs and blazers...

I have a 1989 Suburban that is dang reliable. I have almost 150k miles on it, and it hasnt given me one issue yet, and I bought it with 130k. I repainted it and have bigger plans for it later too, but yeah, I cant believe how awesome mine has been. My former roommate and best friend has a 91...

Good starting platform for under 7k?

more capable offroad then an American vehicle? well thats a first ive ever heard that lol! I still have yet to get stuck in my Suburban, and ive been in some pretty rough stuff in that. Around these parts, where we have a lot of mud in the summer, and need to drive in the fields, and during the...

Good starting platform for under 7k?

Also, one more thing. the way Ford does the third row in the Expeditions isnt the best, so their kind of a little tighter then a Suburban or a Tahoe 3rd row seat, and cargo area behind it is a tad bit worse too, but it is decent. its just not as decent as a Tahoe or Suburban, and youl want to...

Good starting platform for under 7k?

The Expeditions can get between 15-18, but dont expect to get much better then 18 usually. It is possible, but rare, and usually so with the addition of an air intake kit or a freer flowing exhaust, but if your going to do one, do the other too in my opinion. All engines love to breathe better...

    Another "What to get" thread

Haha again, thank you. All my friends call me the walking dictionary when it comes to cars and trucks lol, their my passion for sure. i love gas and diesels both, unlike a lot of people who only swear by one or the other. I can get into them each, but i'm not sold on electric, but I do like...

Good starting platform for under 7k?

I have an 89 Suburban I am turning into my expo vehicle. it has a TBI injected 350, and I have at one time seen 14 out of it, but more typical would be 12 mpg. I only paid 1200 for it tho and havnt had any issues with it yet, and it now has almost 150k miles on it. I would trust to take it...

    Another "What to get" thread

haha thank you! I read it again and made a couple of spelling changes and added one sentence I forgot to put in under the 6.0L Powerstroke paragraph too. Glad to be of any assistance to anyone willing to read what I type haha.

Ford F250 Project, input needed on drivetrain options 6.9 IDI vs. 7.3 powerstroke etc

As much as I love the 7.3L (and thats a lot haha) Id have to say my vote is for doing the cab swap while retaining the original drivetrain and throwing on the bigger turbo. Its diffrent and fun, and you get the bulletproffness of a low mileage, freshened up beast in the making.

    Choice for Family Adventure Vehicle

There are programmers that can help improve the gas mileage of the 7.3L, along with a larger exhaust and air intake kit, and youl be good to go. third row seating with plenty of cargo space left over to spare and you can tow a ton if need be. Also you get the reliability of a Diesel. That being...

    Another "What to get" thread

Im a farm boy and a former railroad builder, so I have a lot of experience with a bunch of different diesels. Lets start with what I know and love the best. Ford. Ford has nearly as nice a ride as a chevy, but it is noticibly rougher then the Chevy for the reason that Chevy has the independent...

'89 GMC Suburban restoration/build up project.

You have a gorgeous, rust free burban there! I am officially jealous haha! Wish mine was in as good of condition. I cant wait to see what you do with it, it sounds like we have similar ideas for our 89s, mines going a lot slower then i would like, but I will be intently watching your build for...

New guy starting his Burban build

Well I dont have any really current pictures of the interior, but it is since completed. I do need to clean it badly tho haha, blame it on my love of driving with the windows down on dirt roads. But all of the wiring is basically taped down to the bedlined floor, and a mossy oak rubber camo mat...

New guy starting his Burban build

Haha thanks Chiliwak! Ive been holding off on doing too much to the Burban since I sort of started a business landscaping and have been saving to buy that F350 I mentioned earlier. Gunna sell my Lincoln to finance that. But one of my buddies has a good set of rims that would look much better on...
